Only lasting for 2 months before the b... morehas mine since July, changed it on September because the led stopped lighting green, but i really enjoyed it back then, has had this one since September, had no issues so far, the phone does get warm when you play games holding it, but thats normal, any other phone gets warm too, only very big phones like the note or the Zultra remain kind of cool, yet even those do get warm, the warmer I've gotten my phone is to 37ºc and it was on for like 4 hours, shooting a video, then playback, then video, then playback like that for like 2 hours, then hand it to a friend who played ppsspp emulator for like another hour or so, and then browsed while uploading a video tease of what we had recorded before, so it was about 4 hours non stop, the phone keep a little bit of battery but keep working, i felt the phone kind of warm so i checked and zcpu reported 37.2ºc only happened this time, never been this hot again

Dont buy this phone. Only lasting for 2 months before the battery damage. I think its overheating problem cause the damage. The phone is getting very hot when I played online games. And sony service works slow here in indonesia. Its been over a month and my phone still waiting for replacement parts. Good phone with low durability and bad service. Now im going back to samsung.

As for watching movies for 2 hours, I think it shouldn't be a problem. I don't or rarely watch videos at all.
But it shouldn't be a problem at all.

But I still thinks this phone better as I prefer not a very large phone_ I felt 5inch would be just nice for me to watch movie already. As its resolution is high enough plus bravia engine. Only thing I wanted this phone is because its phone size isn't so big. Just nice for me to fit in my pocket
One last question
About battery heating issues
If I watch a movie around 2hour. Will the phone be very hot? If is Normal heating I'm ok. But I'm worry if it heats a long period. Will the battery spoil?

A SHORT REVIEW ON XPERIA™ ZL (again):
Sony Xperia ZL runs on 4.1.2 when bought from store, can be upgraded to 4.2.1 at present and soon will be upgraded to 4.3 in November 2013 and afterwards. Sony also promised to upgrade it to 4.4 (KitKat) soon (maybe 2014).
The screen is awesome, better than many flagship phones around, save for the viewing angle, that is very low. If you want to watch a movie in it with friends, more than three people watching is not a pleasure experience.
The touch screen is very responsive, no lagging our whatsoever.
The keyboard suites me well, but if you don't like it, play store has plenty of them to choose from.
Connectivity is great, no problem at all.
The IR blaster is reported to be flawed in some cases and Sony is replacing the devices with faulty IR blasters. If you buy without warranty, my suggestion is to check it beforehand.
The soaker sound quality is awesome, loud enough to hear music clearly in a medium size room.
The battery is non replaceable and it should have been more than 3000mAH to support this huge screen and powerful processors.
The phone is very light weight (compared to other flagship, well, most of them, if not all).
Call quality is very good, crisp and clear.
NFC, Bluetooth and GPS works like charm.
In built browser is Google chrome, but you can download whatever you like from the play store.
Can run heavy games without any sweat. Try YouTube for details.
Doesn't support flash, not even with custom flash installers.
The supplied headphone is great with good high, mid and low support.
The supplied charger is the one you should use to charge it quickly. If you use charger from another company, it'll charge, but will drain faster.
I personally love the mini apps, which hover over the screen without hampering whatever you're doing. Can download lots of them from play store.

Dear ZL user, first of all, I really don't know whether you own a high end laptop or not. Assuming that you do, I'm gonna continue. Think about your laptop, when you play a heavy (high graphics centric) game in your laptop, have you ever noticed the ventilation unit? Yes, it heats up pretty fast. This phone is a quad core, means that it runs four cores and yes, it does heat up a bit more than usual when you play heavy games for a long tune (say 20 mins). But that's normal as the processors are busy working and producing heat to supply your demanded graphics. Secondly, this phone uses one of the highest display resolution to enlighten your life - 1080p. My wife uses Xperia SP and that one is 720p. My Xperia ZL needs to be charged twice a day with moderate Facebooking and internet browsing and few hours of gameplay with temple run 2. On the other hand, my wife keeps her phone logged on in the net all the time, chats every now and then, listens to my songs, plays tenor run 2, bruises the net, Wikipedia etc and her phone shows that she got at least 35% battery when we go to bed. Her lower resolution definitely has a plus point when it comes to saving battery juice. Sony needed to put Asst least 3000mAH battery inside this phone to run it the whole day. And the performance out gives, I'm sure that even then people would complain as there is no limit of improvement. I hope I could answer your questions properly. But please, these are the questions answered many times before. Why don't you go through some pages before asking the sane questions again? I have just goy my xperia ZL 5 days back prob what i am facing here is.... phones battery drains out quite soon... when i play NFS MOST WANTED on it it lacks after a certain time i.e - after 20 mins it starts giving problem phone heats up.... and so on...
Do i need to be worried about it? Do i need to get the handset exchanged at Sony for same Model? Could there be some fault wid this device i hvae got? or there are the normal stuff? that usually happens? when i checked specification of the handset it showed 16GB in built but when i actually started installing and updating softwares it only showed me as 11.5GB user avail.... is the rest preserved for inbuilt software and usage? Guys plz need ur experties here....

For example
- Samsung Galaxy S3 (SuperAMOLED 720p)
- Sony Xperia SP (720p)
- Motorola Moto G (720p)
- LG Optimus G Pro (1080p)
- Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 (540 x 960 pixels, big enough for videos enjoyment)
- Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (bigger than Mega 5.8, better screen quality of 720p).
They are the cheaper alternatives which has pretty decent specs to offer you.
But if budget isn't a constraint for you, the ZL might be just the device that's for you.
I own a ZL personally. For my device, the hearing speaker isn't so perfect. May need some repair I guess. As for battery, the battery drains pretty fast even though my phone doesn't have any data plans, just 2G network and connecting to wifi occasionally.
With moderate usage, I'll still have to charge my phone at the office at least twice.

I'm a phone user that only use socializing apps like what'sapp and others. Most important. I like to watch 1080p movies on phone. I dun like to play games on phone. Will you all think this phone is ok for me?
I still wondering wanted to buy or not because I read opinion here says it have battery problem. Screen off automatically. Microphone problem. But if I did not download things much. Not a heavy user. Just only watching movie more often. Is it ok?
