AnonD-155192, 05 May 2014visit www.sonymobile.com and search sony xperia zrIt means it is both IP55 as well as IP58 cuz when it's second digit stands for water resistance, it surely means it's above the smaller digit. In case of Xperia z, it's IP57 and can bear only slight amount of water but ZR being able to bear a large amount of water (even as shown in it's advertisement of filming underwater in fullHD) is obviously IP55 and IP57 certified for it to be IP58.

Cause on all Sony and gadgets websites, it's stated ip58. Even in its commercial it is ip58. You cannot immerse an ip55 certified phone inside water.

hi i am santos....whether SONY xperia zr's dust and waterproofs are ip55 or ip58.......THIS IS MY DOUBT ....gsm arena mentioned that SONY xperia zr is ip58 ....and other sony websites are mentioning that ip55 or ip58 [that means both are available]
now i tell u that differences between ip55 and ip58
IP55:
(i) protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP 55
IP58:
(ii) can be kept under 1.50 metre of freshwater for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP 58.
SO PLEASE SAY THAT SONY XPERIA ZR IS IP55 OR IP58
PLEASE HELP GUYS

My stamina mode is always on, and if it goes below 25%, the low battery mode will kick in.
In stamina mode, it won't work while the phone is active, so it won't affect your performance.

This phone is c... moreI didn't put it in water even once since I got it..I think it's heating and the water coolness with what cause damage to the flaps and will loosen them out a bit because of the hot and cold contrast..like what happens when you pour water on a hot pan..also my friend's z screen got cracked when he put his heated phone in a normal temperature water

whatever post about it when you find it on ebay, flipkart or something..I seriously need this dock thing
