I just bought my sony xperia ZR so far so good. After updating my device from 4.1.1 now updated to 4.2.2. The ferformance is fast especially when you browse the internet. I'm heavy user and i am already satisfied with this phone and especially when you play the games. For me Sony is the best.

Android itself takes up too much space on these higher end Xperias, leaving you with less than 4GB storage for apps and games and cache. Ok if it was a midrange phone but tis is way too expensive to accept the limited storage. With Xperia Z you get more than 3 times as much free storage at your disposal.
Just wait for Xperia Z1.

I w... moreIt doesnt have much better webbrosing battery time than Xperia Z in real life usage, a few minutes better maybe, due to the smaller display. Check how GSMArena does their battery testing, a single webpage is being constantly refreshed, what does that have to do with reality? When you start scrolling, zooming and panning then things changes drastically. On Xperia Z you dont need to pan so much, the higher resolution and bigger size lets you display more content at any given time, which contributes to considerable power saving, if you are young with good eyes you can probably get better times out of Xperia Z. Just dont put any trust in GSMArenas browsing battery test, it even allowed HTC One to manage 10 hours, while in real life tests dont by the consumer organization Which? the One lasted just a few minutes longer than Xperia Z, and that wa expected since the display of one is closer to Xperia ZR in size. It all makes sense and proves that Xperia Z does not have bad webbrowsing battery life at all, its quite average, only Galaxy S4 can give you considerably better times.

I heard this phone has good battery for web surfing ... I wish of only looked like the Xperia z with the glass back then I would have bought this phone the Xperia z just looks so good but the battery is the off putting thing .... Sony always does good design on their phones but their battery is what puts tg down ... Their products just consume too much power . I had a Xperia play , neo , s and they all had bad battery life so yeah . Might wait for the Xperia z1 min and see how the battery on that phone is and the dresgin is

Changes I've seen in 4.2.2:
1) file commander, movies, smart connect, car mode ui have been changed
2) transition effect while changing themes is different
3) the open close transition when you turn on/off the screen is gone
4) lockscreen widgets is enabled by a left swipe in lockscreen
5) contrast is noticeably better
6) status bar and onscreen keys are translucent in app drawer and home screen
7) quick settings notification
8) developers option gone... Don't know where it went :(
9) daydream
10) better benchmarking (in 4.1 I used to get 16000-21000 now when I checked twice ,first I got 22787 second time 22134)
11) task switcher is different with a nice transition.
12) I don't know about battery life and overheating cause i Updated today only. (played nfsmw for 36mins and battery went from 88% to 71% and the phone got hot [ but you must consider that nfsmw is a gpu&cpu intensive game and I played it for 36mins])
