I purchased ZR 3 weeks ago from flipkart with amazing price,i explored it very well so let me tell you some major pros and cons :
Cons : (first of all)
1) Internal Space available is 4.59 GB( if ur a big gamer than dont buy it, rather go for Z)
2) In low light the camera quality is not amazing(it is only good or u can say its only ok.)
Now Pro:
1)This phone comes with 1.5ghz quad core processor and 2gb of ram so thats why it is amazingly fast, smooth and has everything that a superb phone should have.
2) After 100% charging, battery ran quite easily for 3 days with normal usage(without internet) and 2 days with normal calls and regular internet usage. Hence i can say battery is just amazing.
3)You can run as many application as you can though the phone wont ask you to get relaxed.
4) During day time or in good light the camera quality you will get is just outstanding.
5)The Bravia 2 engine gives the very best picture quality also if we talk about sound quality it comes with sony's patent walkman software so sound quality is incomparable, its best.
6)lighter than many other very good phones, also has many great features like water proof, dust proof etc etc..
So finally i would say, big gamers - dont go for it while other - dont miss this, buy without any hesitation...

Good battery. Very fast. Screen tend to scratch a lot and breaks easly(never dropped it but i got a broken screen twice) . Came with a Bluetooth connectivity problem that apprears after using the phone for several days. After fixing my screen and Bluetooth water proof ability has been lost even when i did the maintenance at sony's official dealer. Internal memory too low like 4Gb usable without the capability of app2sd so how come it's a great gaming mobile while the memory is only enough for one game along with my essential apps. Camera is good in daylight and under water but it' s one of the worst in low light conditions.

Android L update, 30 Jul 2014As we move on to older Sony devices, we start to see signs ... moreIf the elders are not getting the update, then obviously the younger one also won't get... Also it's very simple to port stock rom from z to zr and zl or vice versa because they run the same chipset and almost all hardwares are the same except a few minor changes. One thing you'll see is that, that's the reason why Xperia Z/ZL/ZR run the same firmwares(eg. .230)

As we move on to older Sony devices, we start to see signs of devices that might not receive this update. If we look at the release date for these devices then you can tell why we are unsure about whether or not they will be updated. The Sony Xperia Z 2013 was first released in February 2013. This means the updates should come until August 2014. The Sony Xperia ZL was released a month later so the expiration date for updates should be September. The Xperia Tablet Z was released two months later so the expiration date for updates should be November. Lastly, the Xperia ZR was released a month after that so the expiration date for support should be December.
If Google releases Android L in the Fall (November is the speculated time frame), then all of those except the Sony Xperia ZR most likely will not receive the update. This isn’t even taking into account that it could take as much as three months (or more) until Sony pushes the first batch of updates (for the Z3 and Z3 Compact).

Dis phone is one of the best phones around... I just upgraded to 4.4 kitkat so far so good. Didn't notice any ba3 drain, No lagging yet. I love dis phone... I highly recommend it.
