AnonD-152830, 05 Jul 2014No its not related to kitkat. For me the progress appears. Lol i got the fix... The 'show notifications' option in the app info of 'download manager' was unticked. Checking it fixed the issue. Thanks anyways!

Any idea how to fix it? I tried re-adding my account, clearing app cache, data etc. and reinstalling updates to play store but without any luck!

I have one issue though, i can't see the download progress of apps being downloaded from play store in the status bar. I don't know if it's related with the kitkat update. Please help if anyone knows the solution.

I have kept the location and gps services off. A good update, though 4.3 was more stable, this update has better features like the improved status bar, immersive mode, etc. There was some lag in the settings menu but checking 'force GPU rendering' from developer options fixed it.

A good update, though 4.3 was more stable, this update has good features like the improved status bar, immersive mode, etc. There was some lag in settings menu but the checking force GPU rendering from developer options fixed it.

You can move files from internal storage to sd card using the inbuilt file commander.
If your phone is rooted, install sd card fix from playstore and it'll work normally as in 4.3
