TH... morePlease don't waste time with battery savers. They can't help if the OS itself is buggy. This is a serious bug that Google has to address. However, Google is ignoring this bug. They have in fact marked it low priority! Android L and M have tons of bugs on various devices, and I'm sure they have their hands full.
Please do the following to get Googles attention on this critical bug - Google for " Issue 190777 " (Can't post links here, so you'll have to google it yourself). Scroll to the bottom of the thread please vote for the thread. You'll need to be signed into your Google account. The more people we can get to vote this thread up, the more chances are they might release a fix.
Google is going downhill by releasing hopelessly buggy updates to several devices, not just the Spice Dream Uno. So next time, consider buying a non-Android phone like Windows. They perform really good even on low end hardware, updates at least don't have such critical bugs that damage even the hardware.

After that Android has been declining both with respect to UI and efficiency and with serious bugs. Also Kitkat was working faster on this phone. Search on the net on how to downgrade.

Once my phone got switched off because of low battery, after few hours I simply tried switching on again. Surprisingly it showed 40% charge left!! Android M has ruined the performance. Is there any way one can go back to earlier Android L?

If u want battery back, u need to reboot your phone daily(after android m update).

THE BATTERY BACKUP DEPENTS ON
1) THE APPS INSTALLED.some apps may not allow the phone to sleep.
2)USE OF THE PHONE.
If you are using wattsapp continuously the battery drains within 3-5 hours
Or see a movie the battery drains not much(9-10% loss).
Fist we should understand our phones draw back,
Just think, out of the three Android one phones,our dream Uno is getting a little bit more battery back up.
We installed DU battery saver, it will allow the phone to sleep,YES ITS TRUE.
If the problem continues,
BUY A POWER BANK.
A 10400 mAh power bank would help us to charge upto 8-9 times

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO INCREASE BATTERY LIFE.
While we were typing the review,the battery loss is 6%,

Use du battery saver & greenify app to kill background process & to provide deep sleep to your mobile. & also download cpu spy app to check whether your mobile goes under deep sleep or not.

Users / owners, please vote for this thread (and comment) to bring this issue to Google's attention. Amazingly they have marked such a serious issue which is causing serious damage to our phones as low priority.
What seems certain is that google isn't even doing basic testing before releasing updates and/or they are employing imbeciles.

The recent 1. 8mb update has not helped at all. Phone doesn't sleep. Google is really trying our patience and damaging/wearing out our hardware in the process.
