Did anyone bother to pass this on to the fine folks at Google/HTC... I mean surely the opinion of some random unimportant person should reflect their business stratergy.... Right??? Right???

Common theme here Windows gets plenty of flak and now google isn't quite what we expected. The real problem is HTC.Stop praising them because if you look at their history it's one balls up after another. TyTN II with no hardware acceleration ,touch pro with poorly adapted hw acceleration,touch diamonds with cheap LCD's the list is endless...HTC suck

Mike K., 12 Oct 2008well i dont have any specific questions, just generally how... moreI played with this phone the other for about 45min and I love it. The touchscreen is amazing and highly responsive. The internet just appears just like it does on a laptop or desktop. The design looks a lot better in person. Its really not that bad. The most suprising part about the phone is that it really isn't that thick at all. To have a slide out keyboard that's a first. You can fit in your pocket. As far as colors go. Don't go with the Black. It almost looks like plastic and cheap looking. Youtube looked pixelated. No landscape mode unless you revealed the keyboard. However this can be fixed when updates arrive. Battery life is awful. No sitting at home playing with this, without an ac adapter. A car charger is a must. Overall my time with the phone was a positive experience. I'm sure once I get it home, I'll start to see more. For the moment all can say is go HTC.

the gsm arena specs lists accelerometer...but in all the videos that i have seen, the accelerometer(if it does have it)is not present

do i need to pay for internet access from t-mobile to see the google maps and street or can i just use it without internet

C, 14 Oct 2008fun fact: you can transfer your music straight from itunes.... moreWell...yes, you can...but if the songs are locked itunes songs, the phone won't play them. You won't even be able to see them on the phone when browsing music.
I should know...I tried it out on Sunday :^(

And to my knowledge htc told me that the phone will not work without the g1 data add-on, but i have the blackberry bis add-on on my account and it works just fine.

fun fact: you can transfer your music straight from itunes. the phone converts it for you. Just drag and drop.
