Jim, 11 May 2010That anybody knows how is the battery on this phone,it's le... moreyes the battery life is fine, im on mine all day long and still have half a battery by the time i get home. and in response to multi touch it does offer multi touch out of the box. any other questions, ive had mine for over a week now.

Yes it's a optical trackball,I find out all ready,throughout other sources.

That anybody knows how is the battery on this phone,it's less powerful then the one that nexus one has. I will appreciate the help. I want at least a decent battery life.

looks like an optical to me not many new phones have a non optical trackball these days anyway bc they are the first thing to break

Love the slide, i just got mine yesterday and it's a champ. I have used the G1 and the nytouch and the difference is undiniable. I went to te HD2 for a few weeks and hated it and wanted Android back badly and this device is just what i need. Anyone tatwants to deny it please go into your local store and see it.

When to my local t-mo store to see the HD2 but a sales rep showed me his 3g slide instead.
The phone runs smoothly, about the same as the HD2 even with less of a CPU. The sales persona said it's because of the OS. The genius button worked like a charm. All I had to do was press the button and say "find burger king" and the phone starts to look for the burger king nearest me. The hardware feels solid with good finish. It's heavy but a good heavy. It's no where near as cheap as some photos may show. Didn't get a chance to type a message with the keyboard but the spacing is good.
The phone will be out on 6/15 and it's definitely going to be my upgrade.

uhh multi-touch is embedded within the broswer, maps, photo gallery, even the home page.... showing your 5-7 homepages as thumbnails...

i think its goin to be a good fone.. but they could have made tha keyboard a lil better i still like the keys on the G1..

I like this phone,but what happen with the multitouch. well anyways this going to be my next phone. I love android,and a keyboard yeah ! this is a winner. looks nice too.G1 lover
