If it still doesn't work and you need an alternative, you could try 1mobile.com they have an apo just like playstore and you can trigger a download from your PC just like play store. They have almost all the apps except for the paid ones.

Okay, so for all with Google play problems, here are some steps to follow:
1. pls make sure you have a working internet or data plan or a wifi connection.
If that doesn't work move on to this step.
2. On your phone, go to settings=application=manage applications=all applications(the all applications can be found at the top, its being arranged like a tab). Then scroll through the apps and look for Google playstore or playstore. Click on it force close it, and uninstall updates.
By doing this, it would revert you back to the old playstore known as market. after sometime with an internet connection,it would update itself back to the new version of Google play.

I got this fone..a very good fone indeed but my major problem is with the wifi...used it fi a couple weeks then it broke down completely...every time I try to put it on I only get error messages.... Anybody with a concrete solution to that? Al be so grateful

such an awesome phone,had it since it release however couple months ago the charger port stopped working.besides that its a very good phone.replacing it with the Samsung Galaxy Ace.

Those with WiFi problems. There might be a possibility that it might work. Here a few steps I would recommend u take.
1. You can download WiFi fix or WiFi repair or WiFi rescue app from the playstore and try them. Sometimes it might work.
If it doesn't, try step 2.
2.Try resetting it device.
If resetting Your device doesn't restore the WiFi and bluetooth, then am afraid my next option would be to root the phone. Reason being that,When I had my 1st android phone which was a Motorola cliq, the WiFi wasn't working, I reset the phone, flashed it and tried many stuff but it didn't work. So I rooted it and flashed cyanogenmod 7.2 and voila, it worked like a charm. So to cut this short, sometimes the android OS gets some defects and some of the drivers get corrupted some how, so u need to flash a new Rom. And that Rom may come along with a whole set of drivers and who knows, it might work.
When you are ready to root your phone, You can head over to Xda developers and you would get all the help u need for free. here is the link to the site.

You can now type HTC glacier in the search device box and you would be sent to the mytouch 4g forum.

I have buy an HTC My Touch 4G in China.
I live in Chile South America, and the phone does not recognize the local SIM card.
I nee buy a code for liberate the phone.
