I have t-mobile pulse mini which generally im pleased with.
Two things that irritate
1) I cannot see how to use mp3 or midi for message tones (I can only set music for voice calls). Do I have to buy an android app to do this on my phone?
2) The wallpaper editor to set wallpapers is weird I have tried own photos and they wont fit right any ideas?

That's a lie. I'm running Sygic, Navigon and coPilot without any problems on Pulse, although iGo is a bit glitchy.

Can anyone clarify the gps support the pulse mini has? i went into the t-mobile store and had a go with the phone.. to be told that it only supports basically google map basic navigation. The rep explained that the pulse and the pulse mini due to having a very weak processor wouldn't support any kind of proper navigation such as sygic and others.. is this true?

this fone does not allow words to be added in the predictive text system. my local t mobile store said it was a cut down from the pulse .

i went today in a Tmobile store because i wanted to test both Pulse and Pulse Mini cause i don't know what to get. Well now i dont have any doubt: the winner is...Pulse, even though got an older Android, costs 50 quids more...but it does have a superior touchscreen (in the mini one you gotta push really hard in the soft keyboard), and the screen is much bigger for internet browsing (Mini is really too small); the Pulse screen got the same size of the Iphone which set the standard in terms of everything. I also tried the gps in Google Maps and it does work. Well guys with absolutely any doubts go for Pulse before Tmobile takes it off from the mkt!!!

And do... morebuild quality is good for a budget handset. screen is good but clearly not up to the standard of highend oled's and typing is ok, but you will make mistakes compared to using higher resolution handsets. if you use the supplied stylus it's fine and you will make few mistakes.

Just bought one today and I'm impressed! 2.1 clearly doesn't run as well as the HTC Desire and other Snapdragon-based handsets but still gives a good experience. To clear up a few if the comments: yes it has 3g, yes it has a radio and yes it has gps (only used it in google maps)
there are a few issues with wifi disconnecting however and I hope this is fixed in an update soon. If you can't afford a top-end Android handset then I say go buy the Pulse Mini today!

does it have an fm radio as ive seen it in a video and in the menu it shows fm radio,is this an android app or something?

That ain't true. Engadget says it runs on MSM7225, which is a 528mhz procesor.

This phone actually uses Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor , check the specs on net and engadget.com for more info ...
