Mike1281, 31 Jan 2021So maybe this phone sucks but I guarantee you it's not... moreIt’s a lie the phone is good. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and I’ve no issues or whatever so ever. If you don’t like does not mean you should character assassinates it. The phone is 100 dollar phone and you want it to work like 1000$ scraps out there, are you for real?

So maybe this phone sucks but I guarantee you it's not because TCL made it, they make good phones and TVs, yes if something is cheap you should expect some corners cut but I own and have owned TCL TVs and phones, at the moment I have a TCL 50" 4K Smart TV and it's awesome! Also a TCL 10 L phone and it's a mid-range phone but a great one at that, of course it can't really compete with my OnePlus 8 but its still a great phone that holds its own, as a matter of fact TCL actually owns Blackberry and Acatel, one thing that is great about TCL is that they are completely transparent, they tell you exactly what you are getting, no more, no less, but in reality even though TCL may have made this phone they didn't build this phone, if you know what I mean, look at who slapped thier name on it, T-Mobile arguably has some of the best service in the mobile phone game but they need to stick with just that, if they are putting phones out like this one, it's T-Mobile that cut the corners, not TCL, like I said before and this is all from experience, TCL makes decent products, you will get a decent product from TCL at a fair price. I would be placing my blame on TMobile for this one.

I bought one 3 weeks ago and I have had ZERO issues. It's not an I-Phone or a G5 so don't go looking for the same features. I don't stream with it. I play games. email, FB, music, YouTube, and no issues. I don't know why people think a cheap phone should be like a $1500 phone. I just wanted a dependable phone and I have it and it didn't cost me a month's salary.

Don't waste your time on this phone, if you want something cheap then buy used and save yourself the headache of this thing. On paper it sounds like a solid phone for the money but that's where it stops. Immediately the things that will stand out when using this phone for the first time are going to be the paltry camera quality(it has plenty of features you'd expect but they're all overshadowed by the horrendous post shot adjustments), extremely lagging UI, and the expected bugs to go with it. This would all be dismissible for coming in at such a low price point (corners have to be cut somewhere). However the inexcusable short-comings make this phone not worth anybody's time. One major defect(not sure if it's every model but definitely on mine and others that I've seen complaints on) is the garbage cell antennae, this phone will create dead zones that never existed with any other device. This problem also shows in sending and receiving SMS texts, I personally had many texts never delivered and saw in several complaints about duplicate texts which can be directly connected to poor cell connections. Another major issue for me is push notifications on here, they just don't work, I've gone through and adjusted every setting that I can imagine to fix this but no matter what I cannot get any push notifications for my apps other than the native phone apps like sms and the dialer. The only time the push notifications seem to work is when I'm actively using the app but once it's closed there's nothing. The other issue I have using this phone is why in God's name did they think it was a good idea to have a pocket mode on this phone that locks the screen permanently when it senses the top of the phone being covered. I get that you don't want to pocket dial people if it accidentally unlocks or you forget to lock the screen before putting it away, but every other phone manufacturer has figured this out many ways better than this. You'll know the first time you're greeted with the pocket mode enabled screen that claims you can disable it by pressing volume up and down. Does it mean sequentially, at the same time, or a certain amount of time between button presses? Who knows? I've never been able to disable this mode except for having to restart the phone. This would also be an oversight easily ignored if it didn't happen several times a day. This phone is made by TCL (yes that company that makes those shoddy Roku TV's from China) and it shows... horribly. Save your money and avoid this phone at all costs. A Google Pixel phone on sale or used is lightyears better than this otrocity.
