hello everyone
if you change the wap settings will it work on o2 ireland sidekick lx 2007
and what exactly are wap settigns are they the APN
UserName
Password
that is in the network options becuase they can be changed to the networks thing then i might be able to use this sidekick on the 3G network in ireland because i have a 1GB data add on which allows me unlimited email,web,im and anything to do with internet connectivity all up to 1GB so what do you think might have a possibility to work email me colinmail_3@ymail.com or add me on ymessenger and or aol/aim colinmail4@aol.com

The Cell Phone Wizar, 28 Jul 2009Listen closely folks..You can't unlock a sidekick..i repeat... moreMaybe you cannot unlock it - but I bought mine in New Zealand and it was unlocked (to phone, not to access the Internet). Trust me, we're a whole ocean away from a T-Mobile cell phone tower. So, somehow they can at least partially unlock it.
Have you pressed the button with the 3 lines at the same time as the L key? That's how I get my phone to work.

PS I've read (in the course of trying to find out how to activate Internet access) that Microsoft bought the Danger software. So I don't know what reasonable reason there can be to continue to block the Internet access {other than US bought phones of this type]

I bought this phone on line through TradeMe (New Zealand). It is a fabulous phone as a phone. But, although its so-called "unlocked" you cannot access the Internet (which is why I wanted it.)
Supposedly Microsoft bought the "danger" software it runs on - so I don't see why it cannot access the Internet anywhere if it is unlocked. MS is into Cloud computing afterall.
Does anyone know how to activate Internet access for those of us who buy the phone outside of the US?

hey, this is a lie, from exp- you cant use youtube on this or any sidekick, i work in a mobile retailer and using the sidekick/s you can access the youtube site but you cant actauly watch a video.

Whats the problem here. I heard you cant have wifi/uma and 3g in the same phone. I think its true. Other than the storm 2 - but thats vzw wifi and no uma.
