Take a look at the fireproof return packaging for the Galaxy Note7

Enrique, 11 October 2016

Samsung has abandoned the Galaxy Note7, something we would have never imagined happening if you had asked us just a week before the Note7’s launch event.

In any case, Samsung now needs to get all the Note7s back as all their batteries are at risk of starting fires. In order to do this, the company has sent a few customers in the US some pre-labeled return packaging to send back the Samsung Galaxy Note7 with fire-suppressing capabilities. This will ensure that if a phone does ignite en-route to the return center, the packaging will contain the fire and keep the transporting vehicle safe.

The guys over at XDA Developers have thrown together a quick video showing the contents of the return packaging, which also includes a pair of latex gloves. According to Tom’s Hardware the fire-retardant material in the insulated box can cause skin irritation and Samsung would rather you not handle it with bare hands.

A set of specific instructions are also included which instruct you to slip the Note7 in a static shield, then box it twice before putting it in the fire-insulated box which will be the vessel to transport your affected Note7 via ground shipping.

the 1st nexus was contracted to Samsung. They had their turn, and produced a crappy phone. Google will never ask Samsung to make their phones again.
