I have also disabled "Google Location Accuracy" and now mapping apps (Waza, Google Maps) work and track as they should. The only thing that I have noticed is that certain apps want this feature on. I always click No and the apps still seem to work as designed. Some apps will ask to turn "Google Location Accuracy" on repeatedly which is annoying. If it is turned on by accident then you will have to go back into settings and turn it back off. I have noticed that the GPS tracking doesn't recover immediately and have tried a number of things. Restarting the phone seems to help most times. When this first happend, I entertained sending the phone in for service/repair as it seemed like a hardware issue. TCL was no help at all as their Tech Support was under the impression that it was an issue that needed to be resolved by sending it in. They wanted me to send my phone in leaving me with oout a phone for weeks, maybe months. They should stick to making TV's as the TCL TV I have works better than my phone. Disable "Google Location Accuracy" until a fix comes out. I personally would not recommend sending the phone in to TCL. Thank you to the user that figued out the fix as I rely on the GPS often.

I believe my GPS accuracy is now fixed after disabling the "Google Location Accuracy." Neither the Amazon help agents nor TCL tech agents were able to help me with that. In fact, they all told me, "Make sure to have google location accuracy turned on." It is very ironic. What is funny is the Tech agent told me that there was an issue with the "SUPL servers" or something with A-GPS. But when I asked about figuring out how to disable the A-GPS and just rely on GPS, they replied with, "You can try returning your phone."
          I will wait for a few more days and continue to test the GPS to make sure it remains accurate after disabling Google Location Accuracy. So far it seems to be working.

I sent back the phone to TCL and they just reset the phone and install the latest software. It has no help at all. Same issue occurred. The solution is to turn off "Google Location Accuracy". Go to Settings / Location / Advanced / Google Location Accuracy -- Switch to "Off". Then restart your phone if you don't use "GPS Status App" to reset "A-GPS state" Data. Worked for me and never turn on the Google Location Accuracy again.

              I've had this phone a few months. Icons keep moving, system keeps turning apps on and off with no notice. I feel like I have no control over what it does or doesn't do. Will be replacing asap.

                I have had TCL 10L for a few months. Good overall but glitch sometimes needing a restart. My key issue is the microphone does not appear that great, especially when phone is more that a foot away from audio source

If so blame yourself for... moreI do have to say, I just purchased a 10l and am having GPS issues of accuracy from 12.4ft (4 meters, my highest accuracy on clear skies outside and sometimes indoors/car as well) to 455ft (not going to calculate the meters there, but its more than 100, and this is without obstruction). I have reset phone, restarted GPS, enabled improved google location services, calibrated compass, disabled battery saver, and utilized GPS fix apps. My old cheap lumias and old samsung galaxy j3 had super accurate GPS compared to the 10l (perhaps it is because they included GLONASS, even though they cost less than 100). Perhaps having just GPS and A-GPS has an average accuracy of 12 meters over the span of 12 hours. Perhaps it is an issue with Android 10, or perhaps my GPS receiver is faulty and I need a replacement. Waiting to hear back from the seller, I'm afraid I may need to exchange.

                            IK, 16 Jul 2021It's garbage, poor quality and system issues, scratche... more Was your phone lying on the seat? If so blame yourself for GPS failure. Sometime GPS in the seat lucks out to work and sometimes it physically does not. 90% of the time these stories turn out that people do not actually know the limits of GPS and how to ensure the best operating conditions.

                            Mounting your phone as far into window space is important. You need to physically help your GPS device work. Even then sometimes its just not possible for GPS to work due to circumstances. (Take ANY phone into a tunnel out of sight of the sky if you do not believe this.)

                            It is unfortunate that NO consumer GPS mapping software warns people when insufficient reliable GPS signals are being received - until no signals at all have been received for quite a while. . There really should be a feature to track the level of GPS signal reliability over time and start making problem known when reliability has been 67% or below for the last 30 seconds or 1/4 mile or distance to the next turn. (Actually there is an immediate GPS reliability indicator but map programs filter it out as a potential user annoyance.) But this is not under the control of any phone maker with the exception of Google and Apple who do make 2 of the most popular GPS map programs as well as phones.

                            GPS loss while in a car is NORMAL for ALL devices - any time the metal in car gets between the GPS satellites and the device. Then of course there can be exterior metal (like a nearby semi in the parallel lane) or terrain or thick dense concrete.

                            To be accurate GPS needs to see 3 satellite positions of the 4-6 that are potentially above your virtual horizon line (as if terrain was flat). The location of GPS satellites in the sky varies with time and your location. Sometimes they are mostly overhead or most of them are low near horizon or most in one broad direction (though I think there is always about 30 degrees separation but I it been a while since I looked that up).

                            You can of course install different GPS map apps on Android phones if you think the maker chose a glitchy one for the default and you usually can even disable that default GPS app.

                                      I really do not understand the comments on this device!! I am reading "rubbish phone", "freezing", "bugs", "spying software"...!
                                      What the hell are you talking about???!!! This device is the best phone you can buy for under 200euros (159euros currently in Greece).
                                      Near stock Android 11 with NO lags or freezing problems, truly one of the smoothest UI, EXTREMELY good build quality (dropped from 185cm height with no case and it didn't even scratched), amazing power management.
                                      I have this device for 13 months and I gotta say, TCL is the only way to go.

I have plugged th... moreI got a TCL 10 L with a special promotion price in Hong Kong (3 mall) , only HKD 788 (about USD 100) and came with a monster bluetooth headphone as a gift (or JBL bluetooth speaker in second batch promotion). What a deal!

                                        Regarding to the charging issue, TCL 10 L does not have 9V fast charging, it only hAVE 5V 2A fast charging, That's means it have a higher current fast charging (instead of higher voltage fast charging, such as QC 2.0/3/0). When the battery level is low, it will conduct fast charging (higher current), so "fast charging" is display on the screen, When the battery level is high enough (say over 80%, it will change to normal charging (lower current).
                                        If you connect a 500 mA charger or connect to PC USB port, it will show "slow charging". So, don'y worry, your case is normal. I use 10L for about 1 month, I am very satisfy , The camera may not be very good, but still can take photo satisfactory for daily life photo taking. (Please think about the price vs performance, what other brand name can you buy with US 100 with same performance?)
