Even the popular budget brands like Transsion's Infinix and Tecno only have little over a year of software updates untill abandoned.
Besides, smartphone specs move fast and on the budget segment, most phones get out-spec'd in less than 6 or so months.

Yes updates are lax but they are okay budget phones I have used a few over the years no problems.

My precious advice is never buy this brand. I already bought TCL 20L+ for 299$. It is my lifetime regret. Everyone using TCL brands says don't buy. Because it is not a good brand ever with their over priced devices. No software updates, phones are freezing time to time. No VoLte or WoWiFi support. Lots of hardware issues. They are new to market and they don't know how to target the customers and making a good device. Don't buy this device.

Please speak on what you know not what you're guessing. The phone I have has some great features. I got mine from Techinn as well. My only complaint is that the phone has more bugs than many of it's lesser equipted rivals. It has a 90hz screen but cannot handle graphics like my LG V60. Also, it stutters through animations.

Yes this phone has a lower price tag than others..... however it is far from bottom of the barrel. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra and Iphone 13 pro..... I almost don't use them anymore, I'm always on my TCL 40, and does not feel like a downgrade

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2023It's literally just a matte protector, that anyone can... morei have not seen all matte protectors out there obviously, but comparing those i saw to this screen - they cant compare. they can be very good and reduce some reflections, but this screen is superior. if you disagree, post some matte protectors that you believe do the same job as this display. if i come across them, i would love to give them a shot to learn something new. the "reflections" on this screen feel very much like those on e-readers. they are just not there :-)

I've had mine for about two weeks now. It is a good phone in its price range. What stands out is the display. I am absolutely hooked on it and don't want any other display from now on. Just hope it is going to be available in the future too. The fact that there are no reflections at all is an absolute deal breaker for me. I use the phone for handling data, not for gaming or extensive image viewing, so I cannot give much feedback on that, but the fact that I am no longer looking at the screen basically through a mirror is a miracle I have never even hoped for. You must see it in action to understand. No video on the internet can do justice to this. I am in love, I guess :-D

The other phone they do with exact same name has a 6.6inch 720p screen not hd+ like someone said in the comments. It also comes with a better dimensity chipset which will surely run better on a lower res screen. Strange really seeing as this phone looks better than the other and has the better screen.. Helio chipsets are horrible budget segment lag monsters.

I have for 2 weeks. Phone is nothin special. Screen is gimmicky. No much better than usual screen. But chipset weak and ui has bugs. Choppy unstable performance. Storage is emmc. Slow loading apps. Sometime ui crashes, then hav to wait until stabilized. Annoying. Sound of speakers weak. Not worth money. In uk this priced more than moto g54, which is much more powerful better value.
