i think a used phone for the same price so around £55 is a lot better.
for example an xcover pro, a redmi 10, a xiaomi 11 lite.
and if you know how to mod your phone you have an even larger range of phones to choose from

If you believe this TCL 501 at £50 is a bargain, then you are neither aware of the true price of this barebones phone, nor of vastly better specced phones at a price point of circa £70.
Furthermore, Vodafone (UK) is selling this phone (at this very moment) for £29. Now this price is far more representative of the true cost of this phone, NOT at £50 as you state.

If you can live with the 5MP main camera, at £50ish (UK) this is a bargain that would suit many.
I use for YouTube, BBC iPlayer, podcasts, WhatsApp, Bluesky, online Banking and phone calls. The 32GB internal storage is plenty and the 2GB RAM + Android 14 Go make it quick and easy to use. Easy set up, no issues charging.

Wow. Dreadful. Took forever to charge. Got bored waiting for Google account to log in, then play store experience the slowest I've ever experienced. No NFC so can't use it to pay for anything. Warned me last update was over 18 months ago. After checking for update there isn't one so it is an obsolete android 14 Go, with an 18 month old security update. Not for keeping.

for a trap phone i'm at least expecting the flashlight to work and the back camera to work too... the software update for this randomly disabled both??? flashlight apps crash and the quick settings tile just says "Camera in use"

Its cheap for a reason takes 4hrs to charge from 30% to 100%, lags more than the turbo on a 1990s impreza wrx, try open an app and it says app not responding, doesnt always connect to wifi, when it does it doesnt give internet connection, and its not even heavy enough to use as a brick

I bought this phone sealed for 30€. It's really good for the price: it obviously doesn't perform like mid range/high range phones but if you have a little kid or a really old person who wants a smartphone this is okay. The only thing is the camera which is kinda bad. It also overheats a lot. I personally use this phone as a back-up device to just play around with. The processor is not that bad but it could be better. Good things are the screen, the audio and the OS.

They gave me this cell phone and the truth is, it's the first time I've seen a cell phone discharge when it's charging with the original charger and it's a completely new device.

The TCL 501 (T433D) is a great phone which meets my needs. These foolish people who expect this phone to perform more demanding tasks the same as more expensive higher spec smartphones need their heads examined. What do they expect for fifty quid.

Worst phone ever if you want severe stress issues in your life get this phone doesn't run tiktok ig or any social media as it crashing every 2 seconds LITERALLY most slowest phone I've ever used genuinely impressive how slow it is on call you can't hear anything and neither can the other person always dies at 10 percent had this phone not even a week camera is awful but not as bad as how slow this phone is
