Each of them has different budgets, and all of them has preferences and do decisions to buy this or that product, prioritising what's cheaper (not necessarily bad). It's the same with all these brands.
It's impossible to compare Transsion budget with Samsung or Apple. Updates aren't for free and it reflects on final price. By the way, it's almost a miracle Tecno got updates and kept all Camon 30 with its accessories in the box + TWS buds in some markets for a strongly competitive price.

IgorS, 13 May 2024Everyone complains about Tecno giving updates and now they ... moreYou're right, but the very least Tecno can do is not try to make it sound like they're actually giving 3 years of OS update when it's actually 2 years in practice (Android 14 to 16). I find that cheesy for the sake of 3+3, which I first mistake it as.
This won't stop me from considering this phone though as I was expecting 1-2 years support back in early April, then Pakistan showed that they'll have 2 year OS update on their boxes, and yesterday was the official announcement (outside of the 3 year thing).

That is way better than I expected, now I have one less worry when I buy this phone. All the competition I've checked are between 2-4 years. Now the worry is whether it'll even be released in my SEA country.

On an unrelated note, I'm really struggling between black or white. Both looks so good in its own way, though white would be require a bit more maintenance considering I work with ink and go outside a lot. I could just buy another case but it'll hide the color.
