The Helio g100 is a rebrand of g99 by MediaTek. Ultra, Max, Ultimate, are more like slight upgrade in cameras by specific companies (e.g, Xiaomi) to sooth their taste but performance-wise, it's still the same.

The new upgrades in build are welcomed, that exactly what a successor should have, but not at the expense of other hardware.

To those claiming Camon 30 Pro is better you need to compare the build quality of both phones.
The 40 has an IP68 rating, it can drop to the bottom of a 2 meter pool and stay there for 30 minutes.
It comes with Gorilla Glass 7i.
No other Tecno model has these features.
It is getting closer to Samsung premium phones.
Build quality is everything and that's why Samsung and iPhone are at the top
