The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will retain the camera specs of its predecessor
Yet another rumor backs the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to keep the same camera specs as the Mi 11 Ultra. Per Digital Chat Station on Weibo and a leaked case with camera specs markings, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have a 120x, 12-120mm, f/1.95-4.1 camera, which coincides directly with the current Ultra.
Let's clear the specs up - the 12-120mm refers to the optical distance covered from the 48MP 12mm equivalent ultrawide to the 48MP 120mm telephoto camera. The other numbers refer to the apertures of the camera lenses - starting with the f/1.95 of the main camera and ending at the slowest f/4.1 of the periscope telephoto.
Most rumors agree that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will retain the camera specs, although some people expected brighter lenses, at least. However, the move to a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip can bring much-needed benefits in speed, and possibly some image processing enhancements as well.
