Top 10 trending phones of week 6
The hidden gem of a smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 stays on top of our trending phones chart for 4th week in a row. Joining it on the podium are the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and the Nokia 6 - yes, the exact same trio from last week.
Yet, it's in number 4 that we find the biggest winner this week. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) entered the chart last week in 8th and has now climbed 4 spots making it the highest ranked phone outside of the usual suspects.
There are plenty more of those, though. On its way up the A5 (2017) has nudged the Galaxy J7 (2016), Oppo F1s, and Redmi Note 3 a spot down. The regulars don't mind, they've seen their share of position changes.
The vivo V5 has regained some ground this week and inched ahead into 8th. Peaking at 2nd spot in week 49 last year, it was since then on a steady downfall. The 'other' Redmi Note 4 is around as well, in the same 9th spot it was last week.
The sole new entry in this week's edition of the chart is the Galaxy C9 Pro. The upper-midrange 6-incher was recently made available in India, and an FCC certification indicates a potential US launch too. We find the C9 Pro in 10th and it's managed to keep the S7 edge flagship out by a few hundred hits.
