Got this as it had a great spec. Then it arrived.
Need to use the stylus as I have big fingers - no port.
USB Micro socket at the side.
Reset button under the rear cover - given how much this phone crashes, that is a real pain.
Very soft, hard to hear, crackle and static on a call.
Random freezes.
Crashes during a call.
Runs windows mobile 6.5 which I like, but should have gone for a mature phone manufacturer (read HTC)
On my 3rd handset, negotiating to get a phone that will *actually* make a phone call.
So dissapointed...

I bought my TG01 on Ebay, it's GREAT, everything works as it should. It has a lot of SPB software on it, and also Navmii Sat. Nav. I don't think the previous owner was happy with it, or why sell? But I am. I also love Windows 6.5, and all the Windows knockers (be it mobile or normal), can go take a running jump. Before this I had a HP Ipaq HW 6915 with Windows 5, which was also great, but it was time for an update.

The specs for this one could do with being updated, the UI is much better now than the one on the original release.
However, as with any windows phone the only way to get a good user experience is to install SPB Mobile Shell which removes the standard (always flawed) software and replaces it with a much smoother, easier to use UI

This is a great phone, (when it works properly).
I on my third one now, it keeps freezing up and you have to remove the battery to re-boot it. and when you try to connect to the internet, it keeps sending error reports back. and the battery life is rubbish.

HAd this phone for about 3 weeks now after previously using the iphone 3gs. Yes its bigger than said iphone but my god is it better :). Love the fact that I can plug my pen drive into it and watch AVI's straight away with Core Player and also I CAN actualy bluetooth files too and from the device. Good work (for a change) Toshiba.

It will not come as a upgrade. Windows 7 Mobile i... moreI think your right, it might get the 6.5.3/6.6 upgrade. It looks like MS have really decided to get away from 'windows mobile 6.x', which is reflected in the PR spin of the new trade mark 'Windows Phone x'.
The mobile phone market is so damn competitive at the moment; iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone, MeeGo..
I don't actually have a TG01, but I was very tempted because of the hardware relative to value. It would be great if Android could be hacked to work, but I'm not going to play the waiting game :-)

Peter, 16 Feb 2010No joy with Android, maybe it will happen in the future!
... more@Peter
It will not come as a upgrade. Windows 7 Mobile is a brand new bulid from the ground up. It would be like having to put a new OS on the phone. I just don't think that they are going to mess with it. They have already said that they are not making a windows mobile 7. (notice I switched the 7, that is very important.) If i am correct, starting now, give microsoft about one more year of support for winmo6.5 and they will just give up on it. But that is my two cents. Take it or leave it.
