Sounds interesting Android working on TG01, but surely the Tosh has no built in digital compass? Android apps take advantage of that. Surely, an HTC Android phone would be better. I think TG01 is good (well with winmo 6.5) as it stands. Cupcake 1.5 looks nice on Android, but windows has it's own advantages too. I think Toshiba have made a first rate phone, very much a first for them. It needs a makeover cosmetically, maybe other colours and perhaps other networks within the UK a chance (apart from Orange) to retail it, 3 would be great (as Orange are famous giving 2.5g sims on payg YOU HAVE TO ASK for a 3g sim, how daft!).

However, i have experienced problems in the past, Nokia 5800 for example. Contrary to manufacturer's advice, if you have a plain plastic back, like TG01, you can remove cover and wash in luke warm soapy water and allow to dry at room temperature, it is just plasic and can be cleansed as such. To remove scratches, believe it or not (however, do NOT recommend with touch screen phones), one trick that seems to work is Brasso the metal polish, is has very fine abrasives, and the chemical does not seem to cause any major damage to either plastic or mineral glass. I am sure the manufacturer's would not advise, but it seems to work.

£149 from Orange, why complain? Mega deal or what, let's see it now comes with WM 6.5 as standard, Office and Core Player. Have you seen the games? Snapdragon at 1Ghz and Open GL in your hand, where is the bin for that chunky PSP (only joking!). This is not a phone it's a technical marvel for the price. It is NOT Huge in your pocket actually, see it's so slim you hardly notice it unlike say a Nokia 5800. My only complaint is the mini USB port as sole connectivity with fiddly plastic cover, better to have had power headphone and USB power ports like Nokia. Compared to the T-mobile Pulse, the only other similar payg phone in the UK, well your not stuck with only as many apps fit into your phone memory, I give 11 out of 10 for this phone, if you can track one down go for it!

i have just had my tg01 unlocked at a massive £30 but worth it to be on three.

I've been using this phone for about 2 weeks now and I've found some more problems with this phone. I was trying to wipe grease/sweat marks off the back of the phone and I started to notice little tiny bits coming off and it was the phones back itself being rubbed off. Now when i look at the back in light and at certain angles, I can notice all the marks where its been rubbed off. This phone also seems to get quite warm, mainly with Wifi use. Also, every once in a while, when I get a text and try to view it, the phone freezes and requires a reset/battery removal. Im finding that my disappointment is growing with this phone and Im beginning to think that maybe that I shouldnt have give orange £149 for it...
