There is a new kid on the smartphone block. Dubbed Ubik Uno, the Android handset is designed and developed by a Miami-based startup with the same name.

The Uno packs a metal frame and a bezel-free display. The device’s specs are a blend of upper mid-range and high-end components.

Ubik Uno features a MediaTek MT6795 chipset with 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. The rest of the device’s specs include 16GB of expandable memory (up to 64GB microSD cards), 5.5” 1080p IPS display, and stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The camera of Ubik Uno is a 20MP Sony-made sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It can capture 4K footage at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, and slow-motion 720p at 120fps. The front-facing camera is an 8MP unit.

Connectivity options of the handset include Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC among others. The smartphone has 4G LTE support for both AT&T and T-Mobile.

Ubik Uno’s Kickstarter campaign will feature three reward tiers. The first 250 backers will be able to snag the handset for $280, then next 1,000 for $299, while the remaining Kickstarter backers will be able to pick it up for $320. Everyone else can order the smartphone at some point during Q4 directly from Ubik for $345.
