vivo confirms V30e is launching on May 2

The vivo V30e was teased by the company yesterday, and today we get a confirmation of its launch date. The Indian division will introduce the new phone on May 2 and will make it available on Flipkart and vivo's store.

This is an entirely new phone with a 5,500 mAh battery and a 50 MP main camera, flanked by vivo's signature Aura Light.

We already reported that vivo set a landing page for the V30e, revealing two neat colors, a curved display at the front and a Sony IMX882 sensor for the main shooter. The front-facing camera will get another 50 MP sensor and will feature autofocus.

The phone will have a 5,500 mAh battery, a first for the V series. It will have so-called "4-year battery health" which means the V30e will keep 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full cycles. Despite the above average battery capacity the vivo V30e will be among the slimmest phones around at just 7.69 mm.
