vivo NEX 3 sketch reveals design of the upcoming flagship
Late last month, Oppo showcased its waterfall display concept phone with 88-degree curved edges. Several days after that vivo’s product manager Li Xiang posted a picture showcasing the upcoming NEX 3’s curved display panel which also features quite a pronounced curve resembling Oppo’s prototype.
Now, Xiang went ahead and revealed a sketch of the vivo NEX 3, which shows the design along with its inspiration. One of the key elements is the display which looks to feature minimal side bezels and a sharp fall reminiscing of a waterfall.
The phone won’t feature a notch so we’ll likely see a pop-up camera and due to the extremely curved sides, there aren’t going to be any side buttons. Apart from the display, the sketch also gives us our first look at the back of the NEX 3 which features a circular cutout for the triple camera. According to Xiang, the inspiration behind it comes from the circular casing of a wristwatch.
The vivio NEX 3 is expected to retain its 3.5mm headphone jack and will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
