My Next S is so funny I was surprised when I checked the version its already 10. But seems my battery was fast discharging any fix please? Love my Next S by the way.

Factory reset is best thing to do provided you have the time and patience to configure each of the apps currently being used. :)

Another update: since yesterday battery backup started behaving normal. Not sure what all settings I played with (multiple times cleared data and cache of contacts/storage and removed sms and storage permissions from app ), but dark mode I've enabled, and now i don't see 'contacts and storage' app in the battery drain top charts.
There is a lot of visual improvements in 10. and a bunch of configurable new settings. Overall feels punchy and smooth now than before. AS the battery drain issue suddenly disappeared, it feels all good now

ME and another guy who bought in the initial days, already got the android 10 update. the guy who bought it around a year before is still waiting for 10 update. This was always the case with even minor updates before as well. So you just have to wait a few more days.
just FYI, for me battery drains in a few hours after 10 update. system app contacts storage is taking up more than 50% battery all the time

Vivo NEX on Android Pie provides excellent battery backup. Did you get Beta version? I will advice for a factory reset of the phone and see if the battery endurance have improved.
May me the FuntouchOS software battery optimization was not done properly due to lack of development time, a COVID-19 impact. How is the feel of the new OS in general?

kwisatz haderach, 12 Apr 2020Is this phone certified by Google?The one available in our country is Google certified and comes with all essential Google apps preinstalled. Vivo India operates in India, hence we do not have to directly import from China.

We're coming up on 2 years now since this thing released and I have yet to see a single person complain about a broken pop up camera. All phones should have them. Notches or punch holes are inexcusable.

These companies under BBK Electronics banner have traditionally been among the slowest to deliver these, and the situation is no different with Android 10.
Vivo unveiled Funtouch OS 10, the latest iteration of its skin that is based on Android 10, back in December, months after Google initially released the finalized version of the OS. And updates? They've been missing in action so far.
Thankfully, that's going to change real soon. After some delays that have been attributed to the coronavirus, the company has finally announced a revised update timeline for its devices today. Note that this applies to the Chinese market - international models will lag behind as usual.
In late March, Funtouch OS 10 with Android 10 beta will reach NEX S in China only. Globally stable OS for NEX (NEX S in China) may be as late June or July, 2020. At least things seem to finally be moving in the right direction now, with updates actually on the way.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2020Waiting for the same :(The Coronavirus outbreak is spoiling the plans of Vivo, who announced that it will be forced to delay the rollout of its Android 10 based operating system - FuntouchOS 10. The company initially planned to begin beta tests on Feb, 2020 but due to the impact of the epidemic, it has to push everything back.
Vivo now expects its first FuntouchOS 10 public beta to arrive in late March, 2020 for the NEX (NEX S in China). An updated rollout schedule with more phones will be released in the coming days.
With FuntouchOS 10 it's going to be a big visual overhaul with plenty of new icons, animations, live wallpapers and edge lighting. In addition, the new OS will bring all the standard Android 10 features like improved gesture navigation, better privacy management and system-wide dark mode.
In India, Android Pie arrived in June, 2019 for NEX so it should be around June, 2020 when we will be receiving release version of Android 10.
