I purchased the vivo V50 less than two weeks ago, and I'm already experiencing serious battery issues.
Initially, the battery comfortably lasted around 24 hours with moderate gaming and regular usage. However, this has now dropped to just 16–18 hours, which is concerning for a brand-new device.
More troubling is the drastic decline in charging performance. The phone used to fully charge in approximately 45 minutes using FlashCharge, but recently it has taken close to 2 hours to reach 100%. Over the last three charging cycles, I’ve observed that it takes about 1 minute to charge just 1%, which is far below vivo’s advertised standards for fast charging.

rainman, 18 Apr 2025Galaxy A56 is cheaper and better by every metric.Battery life and cameras are way better in the V50. But Samsung wins in the SW update longevity. The cameras on the A56 are so so even the cheaper Redmi's are better than the A56.

Ahmi, 13 Apr 2025But why??For the price, you get a measly ufs 2.2 storage which is the same storage type as the cheaper V50 lite 5G. The OS as seen on the older V30 will suffer from shutter lag, slow image processing, and evident UI stutters here and there.

Konrad Lorenz, 07 Apr 2025That's an interesting theory, but there are 999999x mo... moreI have had too many Android phones already so I definitely know what's causing the issue. Of all the phones I have had in the past only the V30 lagged. I am currently using the X200 Pro with UFS 4.0 on OriginOS5 and it absolutely has no lags/stutters. The culprit is the V30's UFS 2.2 and the heavy skin named FuntouchOS.

Available already in Thailand...the Zeiss processing for selfie cannot be turned off and give a cartoonish look. And also the picture stays blurred during the processing time which is frustrating.

Plus, SD 7 Gen3 supports ufs3.1 natively so Vivo really cut corners on the storage-type on their V-series phones over the last 3 generations. Vivo V20 had ufs 2.1 and 3 generations later Vivo is still using ufs 2.2? What the hell?
