This is a good phone if you ignore its much better contenders at a much lower price:
- Redmi Note 5 Pro
- Mi Note 3
The notch is not necessary and was just put there at the top because "hype". A much better way to implement the notch is when you eliminate all the bezels at the bottom just like how IPX does. This time Vivo's bezel is totally unnecessary given that it still has that chin at the bottom.

Really impressed how Vivo improved in this model... Just saw this phone and used for like 10 mins and it made me really impressed. Specially, the 90% screen top body ratio which is really amazing, the shape really liked the black and blue glossy color and the back camera.. And specs are good too SD 626 is good and really battery efficient...
P.s people here complaining about the *notch* it is a trend now.. Huawei, oppo, one plus, asus every company is using it so doesn't matter.

Perfect View? That title seems a little bit exaggerated because of the notch. If they went to Samsung's or THEIR OWN route (apex) then that would definitely define it. Sadly, the notch is distracting and I don't see the point of its use, if phones like Aquos or Mi MIx exist. But what I really like is that they changed the chipset and display and realized that the one on v7 is outdated. Overall, if they remove the notch, this would be a fine phone

"perfect shoot perfect view" another fancy title :P
it doesn't even deserve that title when you take a selfe you don't use the notch to display the pictures the notch will turn in to a bezel and the fancy (and battery consuming)19:9 will become a normal 18:9 display actually most resolutions have 16:9 (1080:1920 video recording) so you canNOT use 120 lines of pixels on the top and the same number on the bottom (don't make me mention the notch) when watching/recording/taking pictures
plus it is TOTALLY an IPHONE X copycat.......why :-
1) notch display like IPHONE X
2) the back round wallpaper looks like IPHONE X
3) sweep up UI like IPHONE X (probably the rest of the UI looks like IPHONE X)
4) vertical camera setup like IPHONE X
5) face ID like IPHONE X (which can be fooled by pictures due to the lack of depth senser or autofocus and the softness effect due to having to much pixels)
6) small battery like IPHONE X (on of the many reasons it didn't sell)
7) EXPENSIVE price like IPHONE X (the MAIN reason of why didn't it sell)
VIVOs idea is:-
cheap phone+notch+price= more people will buy
I hope it NEVER survive the European market

V9 is arealy nice phone with a 6.3 FHD+ display with a 4k video recording in a both rear and front camera.In a V9 you have a got a new features which have a name is motorbike mode.
and the plus point is that in vivo V9 u have got snapdragon processor 626 but u have got in a oppo F7 mediatek that was too much odd feeling when u will use the phone of oppo f7.

1) Highly overpriced. Well this is a trait for all Vivo & Oppo phones. Over time the price falls drastically. My Vivo V5 Plus was launched in India at INR 28k and after 10 months I got hold of it when price had fallen + online discounts @ INR 14K!!!
2) Does not come with any Hi-Fi DAC. So mediocre audio quality at best over earphones. My Vivo V5 Plus comes with AKM AK4375A audio chip which improves the sonic experience a lot.
3) No fast charging supported. My V5 Plus supports fast charging.
4) No fast charger included in the package, V5 Plus came with fast charger.
6) Cheap all plastic, fingerprint magnet & scratch prone body. My V5 Plus have all aluminum unibody design and feels much premium.
7) I am not falling for the AI mambo-jumbo in V9... another empty marketing poop.

In the past there used to be these three to four RESPECTABLE phone manufactures but after the advent of Android operating system These Chinese companies have flooded the market copying fearlessly.No innovation only bang for buck copies.

After looking at some un-boxing youtube videos of Vivo V9 I found:
1) This is sad to say, but Vivo V9 is a budget oriented all plastic phone. It not a premium metal unibody design found in Vivo V5 Plus. But then V5Plus is X9 in China and X-series is their premium series. As V9 is made from plastic, within a month Vivo will launch the V9 as a cheap Y series phone in China.
2) V9 comes with dual SIMs + dedicated SD card support. Good news but then all cheap Y-series phones have this facility.
3) Another good news is V9 now comes with Full HD 1080p display, an upgrade over V7 or
V7+ low quality 720p displays.
