Don't look at just some comments there and conclude like this is a problem from Vivo. Some people just suggested that he should do the factory format, but he's still avoiding it and playing around with other workarounds.
Other than him, no one has any problems with the update. The only problem is just the battery drain where it's not the best as it should be for SD8 Gen2. Don't spread out any wrong information.

Some are reporting no updates since they bought the phone. Seems their phones or accounts are somehow blacklisted? Anyone else?

Not sure how heavy in your definition, but I just use it to have fb messenger (2hrs), fb app (30m), instagram (30m), tiktok (1h), web browser (1h), youtube (30m) and google map (45m). I don't play game. At the end of the day at 20% left, it said around 6 hours SoT, sometimes 6h30m, not too bad for me although I get used to my good battery from huawei and even my S22U.
The think I like it is, if you just plug in the charger for 10m, then it jumps to like 45-50% from 20% and you can use it for at least 3 more hours.

The only thing I'm not satisfied now is the battery drain. Too much for a good phone like this, even worse than S22U. Hopefully, Vivo will release an update to fix this soon. If not then this is my first and last Vivo for sure.
