FlagshipsSuck, 15 Feb 2023Can't edit my previous comment. Looks like my front fa... moreLMAO half of these "reasons" are just there to fill your emptiness.
Let's make a real comparison with straight facts:
1. Vivo's 1080p 32mpx mediocre front facing camera vs Samsung's 4K HDR front facing camera, which it has half the megapixels but the quality is immensely superior.
2. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating on the S23 Ultra vs a fake cheap "leather" coating on the Vivo, without even mentioning how ugly it is with that sensor that occupies 1/3 of the back cover.
3. The Samsung has a far superior main camera, with 200mpx getting many more details, extremely superior video, extremely superior Dynamic Range, extremely superior exposure, superior night photography and overall color accuracy - the Vivo lacks so much in cameras.
4. Samsung has a proper RAW app that can let you even take astrophotography photos. The video stabilization is on another level. Vivo shakes so much like mid-range phones do.
5. Real x3 and x10 optical zoom, their telephoto lens CRUSH Vivo's mediocre 3.5x zoom.
6. Superior screen with much better calibration and 200 nits superior manual brightness.
7. Much superior sound both with the built-in internal speakers and external BT sound, Vivo allows just 24/192kHz sound, Samsung supports 32/384kHz real Hi-Res audio LOL
7. The Samsung can go up to 1TB of storage, their storage is as well faster.
8. The battery of the Samsung is quite better, having about 20-30% more SoT hours, for the Vivo you need a charger and a nearby plug if you want to use your phone all day long lmao.
9. Samsung's UI is so superior that it's not even worthy to compare them as Vivo gets ashamed, with that crappy Chinese UI, filled with bloatware, extremely late updates, bugs and lots of incompatibilities if you want to use it outside of China, like with Android Auto.
10. Samsung DeX and so many unique features Vivo can only dream about.
11. The ultrasonic fingerprint is actually better on Samsung, Vivo uses the older 2022 version
12. Samsung updates your phone (and fast) for 5 years, Vivo/BBK 2-3 years at most, and they arrive late, even European Oppo's got Android 13 like 3 months after the S23 Ultra lol.
13. Much better future price for the Samsung compared to the Vivo
14. UWB support for the Samsung, 0 for the Vivo
15. 3 sim support for the Samsung, including the modern eSIM = NO from Vivo
16. Superior performance, slightly better processor (clock speed) and faster memory
17. Armored aluminium frame, vs Vivo's cheap and chinese-specifical frame
18. S-Pen on Samsung which opens a new league of capabilities. 0 stylus on Vivo.
19. The Samsung can take extremely good Macro photos up to 1-2cm close to the subject, the Vivo loses it's AF and gets all blurred out if the subject is at 10cm or less. Shameful.
20. Much better build quality, internal quality and a proper QC unlike the Vivo.
And I can continue... Vivo can be okay competing with other inferior chinese brands like Xiaomi or Oppo, but they are so far behind Samsung and dude... trying to compare them just makes it laugheable, as we can use real life facts and specs to DEBUNK your shillings!!!
Now please continue ranting because Samsung is much better than Vivo or any chinese brand.

[deleted post]Can you use your brain? Who invented UFS 4.0 , DDR5X RAM and the Vivo's screen for example? Samsung made all of these. And of course uses even superior ones on their phone.
"The first phone to have it" you say it like if it was a technological improvement to be the first using all of that stuff, which anyways was created and made by Samsung and they sell it to all companies. But the LPDDR5X the Samsung uses, for example, is faster than the Vivo's one.
The Vivo has LAUGHEABLE cameras for its price, because their postprocessing sucks, look at the overblown videos with a little bit of light, the mediocre selfie that looks like the one from a 300$ phone come on... you're defending this chinese crap with no real arguments.

FlagshipsSuck, 15 Feb 2023Not sure what you are talking about Zeiss Natural Color is ... moreThis Vivo has a trashy camera and you just repeat that marketing Leica stuff which means nothing to it, as he's right, looking at any comparison the Vivo is miles ahead from the quality Samsung offers - especially in video, selfie and zoom. It barely beats the Samsung in 10-20% of pics/situations, while it gets stomped and crushed out by Samsung in 80-90% of situations.
Here you have some real world comparisons regarding 2 phones you'll never be able to buy (although for a strange fetish you defend this Vivo so much) look at the overblown and white skies the Vivo has with that laugheable selfie or even the super hyper Leica main camera, that records video worse than a 300$ Pixel 6A dude just stop being this site's clown, can you?

The charg... moreTL;DR too much rant, be careful as your blood pressure seems to be boiling. No matter how much you'll rant in this site, this Vivo is still considerably inferior to the Samsung S23 Ultra and it doesn't even matter how many efforts you put to write the same garbage over and over.
Dxomark is not a good site because a couple of freaks that have 0 acknowledge say so in a comment section hahahahaha my dear why can't you get your facts straight, this Vivo is not the best phone in ANY SINGLE THING, not even one, just get over it as no one believes you.
You neither earn 6k€ a month and your fictional company neither pays you any phone, you're either an unemployed loner or a maximum 20 year old immature kid (looking at your comments it's one of these) don't invent jobs and stuff because it's obvious you just talk from your deep hatred, you have 0 technological acknowledge as you only whitewash Vivo for no reason lol.

Ahmednaif, 15 Feb 2023What is the number of the patch number pls and when did u g... moreIt's fake. The Vivo X90 Pro+ will never be able to support 4K front facing video because of its hardware, and that happens because it has a mediocre selfie camera with poor hardware. The typical 32mpx sensor BBK uses, which is trash compared to Apple, Samsung or Google Pixel.
That user is just an online Chinese marketing rep claiming Vivo is superior in everything with laugheable and fake reasons. No one with a 2 digit IQ should believe his shilling rants.
This is like saying a DDR4 RAM turned into a DDR5 RAM with a new update. Ridiculous!

FlagshipsSuck, 15 Feb 2023Not sure what you are talking about Zeiss Natural Color is ... moreI can't decide which to buy, 12S Ultra or X90 Pro+. I have Mi 11 Ultra and always shoot in RAW and it's really good, can't shoot and buy such phones as S23 Ultra, too weak sensor for RAW.
Mi 11 Ultra is really good so i conclude that 12S Ultra and X90 Pro+ are even better in RAW.
12SU and Vivo have IMX989, so will there be a difference in RAW between them? Those two (and 13 Pro, but don't like its design) are definitely the best for people who really wants best main cam. I like 12SU more as far as looks go, but i would go for the one who shoots better RAW.

FlagshipsSuck, 15 Feb 2023Not sure what you are talking about Zeiss Natural Color is ... moreI was talking about the results people got from these phones, saw some comparisons by ben's gadget reviews and some photo samples from a few youtubers and the colors felt a bit off sometimes. Saw a guy comparing zeiss natural to the normal one of the X80 pro and saw there was nearly no difference, admittedly it was only one photo. I was calling the image processing bad because it's not doing the phone's great sensors any justice. Always going for eye catchingly bright (leading to a bit washed out presentation) and "perfectly balanced" photos with its hdr but sometimes hdr can go too far imo. I wish there was a toggle for hdr aggressiveness in phones. I watched the comparisons on yt so yt compression could scrub away the details but I'm just speaking from a prefatory look into these phones. Vivo phones kinda go under the radar compared to Xiaomi, let's say.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Like it or not, the Vivo X90 Pro+ didn't even get into... moreCan't edit my previous comment. Looks like my front facing camera can now do 4K video. Actually it was just added in the last patch. I didn't even notice until now. So for other guys make sure you update to get that.
So we now have:
1. 4K HDR front facing camera with 2x the Megapixels S23 Ultra has lol.
2. Zeiss optics and Zeiss T* lens coating on the back cameras.
3. Far superior aperture and sensor size, extremely superior night photography and overall color accuracy with Zeiss natural color.
4. 14-bit Super RAW video
5. 64MP telephoto vs S23 Ultra's only 10MP lol...
6. Superior LTPO4 Dolby Vision screen vs. Samdung without lol
7. All variants of the Vivo X90 Pro+ start with 12GB of RAM vs. Samdung's 8GB starting.
8. Twice as fast charging for wired and 3.5x faster for wireless.
9. Vivo actually comes with a fast charger in the box lol.
10. Pre-installed glass screen protector on the phone.
11. Far superior ultrasonic fingerprint reader which works flawlessly even when wet.
12. No Scamdung bloatware, terrible OneUI, Knox etc.
13. 400€ cheaper price for the Vivo and still has more RAM than cheapest S23 Ultra.
14. Infrared blaster vs. Samdung not having
15. Extremely superior cooling system, easily the best cooling of any device period.
I'll stop here. Honestly, Vivo X90 Pro+ only downside was that the release wasn't global. Xiaomi 13 Ultra will likely also destroy the S23 Ultra. Bad move Samdung always releasing at the start of the year their new "S" flagships is that anything that comes after can easily outpace them.
With those 15 things I listed above, I wouldn't take the Samdung even if it was 400€ cheaper and did start with 12GB of RAM lol.

jiyen235, 14 Feb 2023All of Vivo's rear cameras are bigger than Samsung... moreNot sure what you are talking about Zeiss Natural Color is about as accurate as it gets for white balance and saturation. As you said, the phone sensors have huge aperture which leads to incredible low light photography which majority of photos still are these days. Image processing is bad though? They have their own chip for this which I think is what pretty much sets them ahead of competitors. You can turn on low-light mode and basically use your phone like night vision... Have you tried it? It's amazing. Other brands like Samdung are way too harsh with the de-noising and lose so much detail due to some weird algorithm deciding to wash out random areas. Xperia is another brand that suffers this terribly.
Other phones also can't do RAW let alone Super-RAW. For a real photographer it's a no-brainer to go for the Vivo. The guy was literally screaming about how Megapixels mean nothing, but then boasting about the 200MP on the Samdung which has been shown to have less pixel clarity due to more aggressive pixel binning. Contrast and sharpening are super high on the S23 Ultra with de-noising being way too aggressive.
Ultimately it comes down to taste. The S23 Ultra camera is good, but it's absolutely not worth the price tag and the 200MP mode is near useless. Samdung's image stabilization is still horrible and dynamic range is still suffering a lot. Plus it has no macro capability. Even the Xiaomi's near infinite macro range destroys the Samsung.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Like it or not, the Vivo X90 Pro+ didn't even get into... moreThe more you scream at the top of your lungs that Samsung is the king, on a Vivo product page, the more you look like a shill dude.
DXOMark already been debunked by many others here. They're paid off reviews and Samsung and Apple are always paying them the highest. If you want a fair review, any Youtuber who owns 2-3 decent phones and does fair tests in different conditions is a much better way to go.
Higher pixel density screen is worse? Wtf are you serious? Now no one is going to take you seriously at all.
The rest of your comment come across like zealous rambling.
1000€ on a phone from China is a waste? My work pays the cost up to 1500€ every 6 months and that's EACH for TWO phones. I also make over €6k a month, not including yearly bonuses. So even if I was paying this out of my own pocket, I would hardly notice the loss. I just built a new 7000€ AM5 PC to work on... I spend 20 hours a week on the phone for my work. So we recycle them often.
Why would I need 4K video on my selfie camera when every single app like Skype, Signal, Whatsapp etc. only send 1080p video for video-calls? Also the 1080p front camera on the Vivo has already been proven to have higher detail than the S23 Ultra at 4K. Plus you just said that higher pixel density is worse. Listen to yourself rofl.
No proper zoom what? The Vivo has some of the best zoom of any phone. Plus it can zoom through ALL camera sensors during video. The Scamdung is locked to whatever zoom level you start recording at rofl. You need to stop recording to change it...
You are clutching at straws. I suggest you find some better hobby. We're all just laughing at you.

Samsung Owns You, 14 Feb 2023Yes, better screen. If you count pixel density as better sc... moreAnother person talking right out his backside.
The charging difference is literally almost double the speed you clown. The difference is absolutely not only 15-20 minutes omfg lmao. Let's examine even what GSMArena says. Vivo X90 Pro+ 0-100% in 33 minutes. For The S23 Ultra it's 0-65% in 30 minutes. So why lie?
Reverse charge is extremely useful for those of us who have two phones like I do. 5W doesn't even charge my second phone. It can't even stop it from discharging with the screen off, it's a gimmick.
DXOMark blah blah. Literally already been proven by dozens of people these guys have no idea how to test phones. If you want a real test, watch any decent Youtube video where people do side-by-side comparisons of at least 2 marketed phones.
Dude you have clearly never used a Vivo phone. Updates are no problem at all. I had to wait THREE months for Scamdung to fix a security bug in the S22 Ultra's OS so I could add my card to Google Play. You can check Reddit, thousands of people were affected. No one could add a card because the OS wasn't secured by Google's standards. They released TWO updates that didn't address the issue at all.
I get my phones for free clown. My work pays for a new one every 6 months, so long as the device costs less than 1500€. So it doesn't matter where it comes from. One is for work, so I can't install any user apps, the other is my personal phone. Those of us who work in IT usually have two phones, that's how it is in Europe. I think it's clear that the one who is fangirling on here is you. I made a few small comments that Samdung flagships are a complete rip-off and you are registering an account just to cry at me.
Go on, tell me how amazing value Samdung's flip phones are lmao. The S22 Ultra was the worst phone I've ever owned since the Sony Xperia Pro-i and the OnePlus 10 Pro. The difference is that I expected the Samsung to actually be decent, but the camera was complete garbage and the performance throttled all the time. At least with the other 2 phones I didn't have very high hopes. Xperia was amazing with the camera, terrible at everything else and the OnePlus 10 Pro is literally the worst overall phone I've ever used.
Anyway I find it amusing that you and that "Anonymous" clown are writing essays about Samsung phones on a Vivo product page... I think you both need to find some new hobbies.

AnonD-758491, 14 Feb 2023These mobile companies are creating a huge economical diffe... moreI disagree with the last statement. I feel like the mid range phones are VERY good for their price and flagships are underperforming. Why, you ask? Well it's because they're priced double for features that make the experience only 20% better or something. Additionally these flagships aren't that great either, each of them with their strengths and weaknesses that just make them not worth the eye watering price. Compare that to TVs, GPUs, Processors, Cars, Bikes, etc. The more money spent always provides an incredible difference between mid range and top of the class products. Mid range phones have been getting too good for flagships to cost so high.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2023Finally a mentally sane person someone can talk with. :D ... moreAll of Vivo's rear cameras are bigger than Samsung's. Except for the main camera, they're also higher res as well with wider or equivalent aperture. If anything, it's only by processing that Vivo can be considered inferior and I don't think the bar's so high for that to happen. Sadly, Vivo likes to overbrighten photos and has pretty weird hdr as well. I'd like to say that they're comparable at the very least based on specs and based on ben's comparison between them I feel like it's just personal preference in the end. If Vivo were able to get their processing game right by improving it then they'd have been far better but oh well lol

These mobile companies are creating a huge economical difference between poors and riches. And for the instance most of the people can't buy these too much expensive phones as their common ones.
And apart from this high price flagship phones category, these companies are raising their mid-range devices too but the quality isn't compatible with the price.
