The new update has also brought the January Security Patch, some notification support for the AoD, and a working Magic Eraser like feature for the Albums app, no wonder this was a 7,8GB update, it's huge with many new features, and overall subtle but great design changes. Battery life has also greatly improved after this new update.

Just got the Android 14 update, and it's absolutely awesome! The UI became even smoother, and they added Generative AI as well, which is already a lot of fun!

Having to set up notifications for each app is less than ideal and the battery monitoring is very aggressive where it kills a lot of apps.

Also, has anyone had issues with VoLTE? I always show 5G (I'm on Tmobile), but when I make a call, my data pretty much stops while I'm on the call even tho it still shows 5G. All options look enabled so not sure what the issue is.

I also switched from Huawei 20x to the Vivo x note.

However, I miss the flat glass of my old phone. Still, I wish Vivo could operate more like stock android... There's no desktop mode, either.

This would have been just right if it had a UD selfie and a flat screen. 7 inches of uninterrupted viewing experience...sadly no. This won't be resurrected either (from the looks of it) in another version. One and done.

Does the Vivo X Note have a built-in screen recorder that records video calls with sound on both sides? Because that's what I'm also looking for in a phone.

I love mine. I am a phone collector and I used to switch between my phones very often, still do, but now I only feel comfortable with other phones for couple of days no matter how good they are, any phone feels small after it, but mainly just not wide enough. Other than that, performance is great, yes it's an 8 Gen 1, and yes it gets hot, but it's no major issue, nothing insane. The packaging it came in is awesome, it came with everything, even earphones, the original case that came with it is the best case I've ever used, it's basically like using the phone without a case, but it still protects the phone. The cameras are great of course, and wireless charging is finally fast enough, with it's original wireless charger, so I prefer using that over wired charging.

as anyone made the "jump" from Huawei Mate 20 X? My girlfriend was visiting China and I asked her to find out the price for me on the Vivo Note X as I was thinking about getting it. She "surprised" me when she returned with the Vivo X90 Pro Plus.... Yeah its nice and all but its waaaay too small as I've been using the Mate 20 X for almost 3yrs....

I plan to secretly swap to the Vivo X Note now (hoping she wont notice the difference since it still shows the Vivo logo lol). I have to use a Vivo now. I dont have the heart to tell her that I dont like the X90... So my only option really is the Vivo X Note. How do you all like it?

Have you done these settings with your most important apps?

This phone is too restrictive when importing the Chinese model. I was able to install NOVA after getting a Vivo which was good. The problem I encountered was my text messages were silent when they came in. This phone does not play nice with Google Messages. I followed the GIZSTOP tutorial on YouTube and still had problems. From now on if I'm importing a phone it will be Honor or Xiaomi.

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy this phone from being in Australia?
I'm needing a new phone and was hoping to wait and see if the X note 2 came out next year and I would get that.
Currently using since 2018 the mate 20x and wanting another big screen.
This seems about it really .
But finding it hard to get 1 like asap as my screen is cracked and thinking it won't last too much longer, and it's pretty hard to find a repairer and at a good price.

DarlingYext, 09 Sep 2023It's an awesome phone, right?I got mine just a week ago, but I've already passed it on to a friend. It simply couldn't match the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in terms of UI smoothness and haptic feedback. I also realized that my preference for larger devices may have shifted a bit.

While it's not a sluggish phone by any stretch, it falls short of the 13U, and the haptic feedback feels like a budget phone. However, in all other aspects, I must say it performs really good. The main camera appears to be great, and I don't consider it a huge downgrade from the 13U, although the zoom cameras do seem to fall short.
