Okay, so this phone LOOKS incredibly gorge and cute etc etc, which is why I bought it around Feb 05. This phone looks awesome and is really nice, but when you put it down to practicality, I don't know...it's, urm, not very good.
The memory is bad, with only 50 photos, 5 motion shots (app.), 50 text messages. You have to regularly delete past messages and photos you don't like, so you can take more photos, receive more messages etc.
The camera shots are not so good, in most lighting, but I've got some really good photos. Sometimes, if you are taking photos for a long length of time (like 15 minutes, -rolls eyes-) they go weird, like all multi-coloured in certain places where the light hits. It's like that for everything after that. You just need to close it for ten seconds. Maybe this is just my phone. But, anyway, the camera overall is pretty good. You just need the right angle and lighting.
Also if you are deleting messages for a long period of time (again, 15 minutes, roll of the eyes) for some reason it comes up "fail" if you try to access the messages. You have to turn off the phone, then on again. No idea why. Maybe this is just my phone.
The battery lasts around 2 days, which is average, but I wish it would last longer. Also it started to switch off randomly from about the 2nd month. Don't know why.
The ringtones are pretty bad, but I really don't care. I don't understand what all of the fuss is about. I've never tried to download music for it.
You cannot record anything, which is a big let down. But, again, I don't mind.
This phone is okay if you do not care much about memory or music, and just want to chat with your mates. This phone is certainly nothing special, and really quite bad, but you can manage. It's just so annoying sometimes that you want to throw it off the wall and stamp on it until it explodes. -Angelic smile- -cough- yes, anyway...this is an okay phone, in my opinion. But I would recommend you get a different phone.

at firsti was really happy to get this phon b/c it looked very cute but this phone really sucks alot. you can't even download. this is a very lame phone. i hate i spent my money. how are you going to invent a new flip camera phone that can't get ring tones and the 9button always get stuck

i've had it 4 like..... 8 months n ther hasnt been ne problems. it wud have been betta wiv sound recording but hu cares!
its betta than all mi mates fones n evry1 i know luvs it!
i dunno what th hell is up wiv all da peeps hu gave it a bad review it really works 4 me

After owning the VK530 for several hours, I have so far not found any problems. It has a good colour screen, slender, sleek build, fun and interesting ringtones, attractive colours and so cute! I know what your thinking, it wont go wrong in a day but nothing has gone wrong and I love it! It has animations for texts, great camera and good video (although with out sound.) There are many great features about it, and my advice is you won't know for certain about ANY phone until you try it! I was suprised at the lack of good reveiws about this phone and all I can say is DON'T ALWAYS FOLLOW REVEIW RESULTS! It is so great I am dead chuffed with it!!! This phone stands out, and you will definately be centre of attention when clutching it in your palm. FOLLOW YOUR HEART!!!

yada this phone does suck. i got it for my bday last year in april and after a couple of weeks the camra went green and kept freezing and going blurry, then it didnt work at all. also as i went into my recived text the phone just turns off, terrible phone. great on the out side crap on the inside.

my phone is stuck on vibrate and i cant get it of no matter what i do i have tried everything went in to the sound and settings and nothing works please help

I got the VK530 for my birthday. Although it wasnt my 1st choice phone at the start I liked it. It is a very stylish and simple phone. But during the months i found out that 1) you cannot get ringtones unlessa pc cable or somthing 2) very small memory on pictures mine can hold 3 videos and 24 pictures 3)no sound on videos 4)no speakerphone, caller id . This phone is perfect for a girl aged 9-11 whos just starting out on mobiles

aww i love my phone, yes it may not be the best of phones but hey it sends texts, you can ring people and its cute what more could you want. though i did only buy it because its pink!!

I hate this dang phone. Besides who wrote the manual? Hello!!! I am a blonde here. Dummy terms please. Why can't I download any ringtones either? No wonder the phone was free.

We just got our new VK530 phones a few months ago. This is the worst phone I've ever had. Every time I go to use it, it says emergency only. everyone else that I know with this same phone says theirs says the same thing. does anyone else on here have the same problem?

I wouldnt really reccomend this phone.It hasnt got many features and a very poor battery life. However I would recomend it to girls aged around 10 or 11,it is a brilliant idea for a first phone. It can store about 35 photos and 2 or 3 motion shots (very short video clips with no sound) i wouldnt say this is very good because when i take a photo it says memory full even when i delete some.The motion shot quality is quite bad too and has no sound.I wouldnt reccomend it because you could get a much better phone at a cheaper price.

Dont Buy It. I've had this phone 5 months and had nothing but problems from day 1. I took it back to the shop 3times in the 1st 2weeks because it kept turning itself off. This problem still happens, it needs to be charged every day even though I never use the camera and only use it for a few text's a week (use e-mail). My friends are always saying they cant get in touch with me and I never reply to the voice messages they leave but this is because I Never Get Them! And every few weeks at 3.33AM I get a text saying I have a voice message but when i go to the answer service no message? Dont Buy This Phone it interfers with your sleep!

I do think that it sucks not to have those features but I checked out a few things I am not sure if it works or not but in the manual it says that we need a pc sync which is a cable cord that connects from your phone to any computer and it transfers ringtones and pictures. I looked it up and I found one website which is about 25.00 for the data cables and data suite its called foneshop.com or just type in vk530 pc sync.

I think you all should give everybody with Vk 530 phones a new phone. Like they say the customer is always right. I overlooked the vk mobile phones and they are nice but make sure they are up to quality.

I was so eager to get this phone but when i got it later i found out that there were no ringtones, no car charges, no earpieces, no speakerphone (which is really dangerous when driving), can't set pictures as wallpaper or caller id for individuals. I was quite pissed off about this phone. I hope in the future you all get it together because customers expect the best quality of this phones.
