the phone is very good, but its battery consumption is too much. i wish something is done to the subsequent ones.

I bought this device about a week ago and I can say, with some certainty, that is is the worst phone I've ever had.
From the minute I turned it on, it was lagging. I'm not expecting lightning speed, but this thing is taking the mickey.
The battery life is also terrible and from what I can see, you have to 'force stop' all of the applications one by one rather than clearing the lot.
Even when I have full-strength wi-fi, the data service is also remarkably slow considering.
Complete waste of time and money. If you are thinking of buying a low-end smartphone, spend £30-£40 extra and get something that's worth it, because this isn't.

well i found this fone very fine and so simpe to use in this price its a good fone n fully loaded with almost all smartfone features, only i miss front came for video calling....

Its very good handset to use & its cheapest in the andriod.

I have had this phone for about 6 months and i am very disappointed in it. The phone is EXTREMELY laggy and force closes apps all of the time. It does not support live wallpapers or 3d gaming either. It is not even multitouch! The one good feature about this phone is the speaker quality. It is very good for such a low end device. But if you were thinking of getting this phone i would not recommend this, and you can find a much better value phone for about the same price. I have heard the the HTC Explorer is much better quality and am planning to buy one soon.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2012i buy 858 its good divce but i have some problem in my mobi... moreThe Phone (i.e. Vodafone Torres 858) runs on Android Froyo which runs a lot of apps without closing except you stop their process in the settings>applications.
You can actually save some battery power by disabling the data in your mobile network found under the settings menu when you are not online or browsing.
And Also disable the background data in the accounts and syncs under the settings options.
Or you simply install a battery booster on your mobile

My 858 would start but the touchscreen has stopped working after only 4 months. Now cant make calls, text or even pick up calls. Very annoying as I now have to buy another one.

the life span of the battery is too short.playing games too is very boring,anyway is cool.
