Watch the Asus Zenfone 9 unveiling here
Asus is launching the Zenfone 9 today, more than a year after the last flagship. The event begins at 9 AM New York Time/3 PM Berline Time/9 PM Taipei Time, and it will be live-streamed on YouTube.
You can watch it with us as we expect to see the compact Zenfone 9 make an appearance with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It appears we are not getting a larger flagship with a flip camera this year as the rumor is dead silent on the matter.
The device already leaked on a retailer’s website, from which we learned that it will be substantially lighter than the predecessor - only 165 grams. The screen is said to be under 6” with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a punch hole in the upper left corner.
The listing suggested a starting price tag of about $810/€800 for an 8/128 GB variant. The Zenfone 9 will arrive in at least four colors - Black, Blue, Red, and White - all of them being a sandstone finish, according to the renders.
Once the event wraps up stop by our homepage for full coverage of the new smartphone!
