Nexus 6 flaunts Snapdragon 805 on AnTuTu

The Motorola Shamu will not be opting for a Snapdragon 801 chip with Adreno 330 but rather the next big thing from Qualcomm - a Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core Krait 450 processor working at 2,65GHz, 3GB of RAM and the Adreno 420 GPU. AnTuTu's database has the device under the name Google shamu, which seems to...

More Apple iPhone 6 images leaked by Spigen

This is not the first time we catch a glimpse of the iPhone 6 thanks to Spigen. Roughly a month ago, an Amazon listing also showcased the upcoming device. The 4.7” Apple iPhone 6 is expected to hit the shelves at some point in mid-September. The device’s actual announcement is expected to take place on September 9.

5.5” Samsung Galaxy Alpha unveiled, has a metal frame

The premium device has a metal frame exposed on the sides and a faux leather back similar to the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy Alpha is a preemptive strike against a bigger iPhone, it measures just 6.7mm thick and weighs 115g. It's other dimensions are 132.4 x 65.5, comparable to those of the Galaxy S5 mini. The Alpha flagship packs a larger...

iPhone 6 now in validation testing, mass production imminent

The report goes to explain that during the validation testing a small batch of iPhone 6 units are produced. They're used for fine tuning the assembly line and ensure top-notch quality. Combine it with the slew of leaked shells photos, TouchID button and Apple logo snaps and the only thing that we haven't actually seen is the A8 chip.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha benchmarked

The S5 LTE-A we're talking of shouldn't be confused with the Snapdragon 805-powered Galaxy S5 LTE-A, which has a QHD screen (matching the LG G3). This yet-unannounced Galaxy S5 LTE-A G901F (octa-core) has a 5.1" 1080p screen instead (confusing, huh?). The Galaxy Alpha has a 4.7" 720p screen, so its chipset...

Samsung starts advertising the Galaxy Note 4

A dedicated page on Samsung's official site has a sappy ad that mostly features the Galaxy Note 3 but the last few seconds of the video remind us to expect the Note 4. Samsung has also posted about the ad on Weibo announcing a contest that can net you Galaxy Note 3 (that's right, 3 not 4). The conditions of the contest are a little...

Galaxy Note 4 listing points to a €600 price tag, two versions

We got our first indication of what the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 might cost. We've learned not to read too much into such preliminary listings since they usually feature inflated price tags as the shops try to make sure that such publicity stunts won't end up costing them money. The usual strategy is to list a smartphone at a price that's...

New production method promises cheaper flexible OLED screens

Kateeva's way of making flexible OLEDs makes it possible for manufacturers to integrate their "printing" process into their production lines without too much hassle. Their method of "printing" a protective layer over the flexible OLED cuts cost in half. At least that's what the company promises. Making the whole thing touch sensitive is...
