But bear in mind the software bugs is not fake, just that some people can take it, some cannot. It is clearly is Xiaomi weakness, and is part of cut corners measure where the MIUI on Xiaomi smartphone is not bugs free.

There is no IP53, dust and splash protection, at least nothing is mentioned on the official site. It's an excellent phone though.

So much anti-Xiaomi rhetoric and flat-out lies and FUD in this thread.
Some examples from anonymous posters:
The screen is always at 50% brightness.
The phone has no LED or prox. sensor.
You can't change the volume, so you can't make phone calls.
All phones are sold with a broken screen with lines across it.
Colors and settings only work in the U.K. You can't change it in other countries.

Do you think a company would manufacture a million broken phones, and then have 99.99% of them returned, and immediately lose hundreds of millions spent on development and manufacturing and see your brand reputation go away? It's so stupid you couldn't even put it in a dumb comedy movie.

Do not buy. No proximity sensor. Imagine what happens. Dislplay is not locking when you put phone on your ear.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2021A52s camera isn't betterIn dark mode no but people say it's the same in daylight. Also add issues about Black Crush, Broken Finger Print Scanner, terror Durability, little to no water proof coating, Screen Lottery (RGB or the better variant), Burn in, Network issues, etc.
Gotta say the camera software is slightly better as Samsung can't do Dual Mode for unknown reasons.

The black color gives vertical lines in the screen. That's why I hated the phone and immediately sold it three days after I bought it. Now I own a Samsung phone A52s . Was happy with my Mi Note 3, but grabbed this one on a really great Black Friday deal. I am impressed by display and speakers, satisfied with camera (sharp but often over-saturated images) and battery (6-7 hours SOT) and overall performance. However I think software could be more polished which is strange since I am long time MIUI user and quite familiar with it. Issues noticed: proximity sensor does not always work as expected, had troubles connecting to WiFi via QR code scan (fixed after sw update), YT freezes when on Higher data settings (not sure if app or firmware issue). No adds though:) Most annoying thing for me is still the size, and I will probably switch to more compact device as soon Xiaomi releases one.
