Why are curved displays still a thing after all these years ? Are people really such a simp for it, when it causes great frustration in accidental touches, greater probability in screen damage, and greater difficulty in applying screen protectors (UV optical adhesive nonsense) ?
Aside from Apple and Sony, I really hope that smartphone brands can stop using curved displays for their higher/highest end phones, it's frustrating that they always do this (e.g., Xiaomi 12 Pro, Samsung S21 Ultra, Google Pixel 6 Pro, the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro etc). What's next in the "technological advancement" in the smartphone industry? Foldable phones with curved display?

Of would say that GT2 Pro and 12 Pro is more or less equal when it comes to most bang for the back. However, I would still buy last years Mi 11 Pro instead of both of these phones.

Edge X30 only has a flagship SOC, the rest is mediocre. Midrange cameras and haptics. No wireless charing. Midrange build quality. Edge 20 Pro was the same. X30 is like motorolas version of Poco F3 but much more expensive.

- much better main camera sensor
- better screen brightness
- 2x faster charging
Also, the microscope camera is a gimmick

AA, 05 Jan 2022Hi on your posted pics for comparison, how do i know which ... morethat is easy, in google photos, best on a laptop or desktop PC, on the top right, there is an 'i' button, if you click on that, you can see all data on taken pics, including the location, time/date, and what phone took the pic as well on what settings.
(all phones except 11Tpro, allowed me to rename the phone name from it's serial number to the phone's name, that is why 11Tpro is called '2107113SG' as a device)
If you want to use the phone, then you tap on any picture, and then you will see only one picture, now if you swipe up = you will get all the details, but like i said, comparing on a phone will not really be possible. I use a 32" 4K screen, i can quickly compare pictures and see the details on the right side while doing so. Even better would be to download the pictures, bcoz the website alters teh pictures a little bit , in order to not overpower the device it is displayed on.
But if you download the files, you will get the original files with full quality.
MiNote10 still takes best pics at night in pro mode, can't beat those pics.
I also added pics from 11Tpro vs MiNote10, on pics - if you zoom in, you can tell 11Tpro is not as good as MiNote10...it's sad, maybe some update will fix it one day.
I took more pics with 11Tpro and tried all tools it had, but still couldn't win the contest.
How can you tell if the pics were taken with a tripod?
Well, on other phones, almost same objects got captured and that just few minutes later(for that check the time pics were taken at).
I also need to mention the Google Street View app, it allows you to make 360 degree sphere pics, MiNote 10 does that at a much higher quality than 11Tpro, S20Ultra or P40pro, bcoz MiNote 10 takes pics in 'Photo' mode at 20MP resolution, while other phones at 9MP or maybe 12MP, and that specific google app seems to be using the 'photo' mode.

They can still have all the rubber and security against splash/dust in place without wasting money on a dumbass useless certification.
