The new Sony/Xiaomi main camera sensor in the upcoming Xiaomi 12S Ultra is much better than the Mi 11 Ultra. Better than any sensor currently in a smartphone. It's a large 1 inch sensor (with all the sensor space used) combined with a very high end Leica camera lenses. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra will set a new benchmark for smartphone photography, similar to what the Huawei P40 Pro+ did a couple of years ago.
Ps the battery used is also a newer more advanced design than the battery in the Mi 11 Ultra. Plus the new innovative leaf thermal cooling heatsink is better than in any other smartphone currently. While your Mi 11 Ultra phone is a good phone, the list of improvements (quite a few major) of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra over the Mi 11 Ultra is endless.......

Pro tip: if you are planning on buying this phone, go for mi 11 ultra.
The 11 ultra has better:
Battery
Ip68
Rear display
Price
They both are tied on:
Charging speed
Camera
Display
12 ultra is better in:
Processor
Definitely not worth upgrading it.
It's either not a good marketing for Xiaomi or someone from Xiaomi engineering has really messed with the real 12 ultra a few months before, because this 12s ultra is pretty much a Poco phone with better cameras and far behind from its competitors. It's a shame for someone like me, as I was planning to replace my mi 11 ultra, for a newer and optimized version of Xiaomi's ultra category.

What to comment? Mega disappointment that this phone will not be available out of China... Why to even bother with reviews and stuff? Honestly, I would buy it if it was released in Europe. But as it's confirmed it's exclusive to China, I will follow different direction...

Dammit I hope the rumors of this being a China exclusive, are false. I know you can always import from but the thing is, usually Xiaomi phones that are China exclusive lack international 4g bands...

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2022It's not usb 2.0, it's the 2nd iteration of type ... moreA simple USB 2.0/1.1 device mates using one pair of D+/D− pins. Hence, the source (host) does not require any connection management circuitry, but it lacks the same physical connector so therefore USB-C is not backward compatible. VBUS and GND provide 5 V up to 500 mA of current. However, to connect a USB 2.0/1.1 device to a USB-C host, the use of Rd (pull-down resistors) on the CC pins is required, as the source (host) will not supply VBUS until a connection is detected through the CC pins.
USB Power Delivery uses one of CC1, or CC2 pins for power negotiation between the source device and sink device, up to 20 V at 5 A. It is transparent to any data transmission mode, and can therefore be used together with any of them as long as the CC pins are intact.
That's on Wikipedia, so read before commenting next time.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2022It's not usb 2.0, it's the 2nd iteration of type ... moreI don't know why people have to pretend to know what they're talking about, it's completely ridiculous but happens A LOT in this website. This comment got me thinking for a second and all it took me was 2 minutes of research to confirm there's no such thing as "type-C 2.0" and that anything that pertains to the USB protocol falls under the same nomenclature, which in this case means the data transfer rate can't go over 480 Mbps. The charging apparently has no limits because the port and the cable are ready for high speed charging. Learn something before you pretend to talk from the top of all of your wiseness, misleading everybody that believe that you know as much as you think you know.

UNKNOWN soldier , 24 Jun 2022USB....2.0 I had a note 4 2014 ....already with usb 2.... moreIt's not usb 2.0, it's the 2nd iteration of type C. If it was USB 2.0 no Xiaomi phone would be able to charge past 2.5w yet most do 60-120w (usb 3.1 tops out at 15w). I'm guessing it'll be usb 3.0 standard for transfer speeds in the type C rev 2.0 so it can have USB-PD and use "alt mode" to display content to a compatible monitor/TV (has type C port). It's not actually USB 2.0 though.
