Anonymous, 13 Oct 2022Oneplus Ace 5g or Xiami 12t? what do you think guys? Oneplus Ace has 4k 60fps recording, better camera sensor and flat frame design.
Xiaomi 12T has faster charging (despite the lower wattage), provably longer battery life and better display resolution.

No 4k 60fps recording? Such a shame considering this phone has the potential to record at that resolution.

I've been using this phone for several days and here are my thoughts:
1. Overall phone build quality is very fine and the screen is also top notch.
2. The charging is extremely fast however the battery life is just decent at best (around 9%/hour).
3. There are no ads in Xiaomi 12T's MIUI but MIUI itself is pretty clunky compared to Samsung One UI.
4. Performance is without a doubt flagship level.
5. Camera is aight, nothing impressive but does the job.
6. Fingerprint is very quick and stereo speaker is also a good thing to have.
7. I actually don't know if the Xiaomi 12T uses virtual proximity sensor or not but the phone calling is working as intended without any problem.
8. System files took around 20gb from the 256gb storage.
I will give this phone a 9/10 imo with the only significant down on the software (but that's also personal preference)

Huwarang Yushin, 21 Nov 2022Hello sir/mam, I noticed on the spec of Redmi note 12 pr... moreI think this one related to the royalty fee pay to Netflix/Google and the display support as well, the more support, the more expensive for the price. But I don't think lacking Dolby Vision is a lost, since HDR 10 already pretty awesome on such small screen. For my side by side comparison, actually not much different between HDR 10 and Dolby Vision.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2022They kept usb 2.0 to prepare an excuse to remove usb port 😂... moreAll in all, they don't want to pay loyalty fee to things that they do not own, just like the way of Apple, which they all like to play proprietary, force you to lock to their own system. Apple is the one to play all out on this kind of thing, Google is the follow up who see Apple action as a chance for them too.

Someone , 06 Oct 2022Why xiaomi still use usb 2.0 without any external storage, ... moreThey kept usb 2.0 to prepare an excuse to remove usb port 😂 just like they remove microsd slot by saying is bad performance (in reality google tuned down the performance on os level, and used that thing to force uset to use their cloud service), and jack port to boosted their wireless product.
Virtual ram, 60 watt++ charge, wireless charge are an extra feature only to creep out your internal storage and battery life.

Not the greatest of batteries. True, that I have this phone only 1 week, but I hardly get through 1 day with medium usage.
For example, today I started the day with 50% battery and at 13:00 after 1.5h of SoT I am at 25% already. Without gaming or heavy tasks, just web browsing. Of course, is not super bad, but I was expecting more from a 5000mah battery and Dimensity 8100 chipset.
I had in the past phone with SD888 and this Xiaomi 12T has the same average battery.
Hopefully the battery life will improve in time after some software updates.
The 120W charging is absolutely phenomenal though. I will never go back to 20-30W charging. And the temperature doesn't go above 39 degrees when charging (even with the battery boost turned On).
Main camera pictures and display are very nice. The speakers are nice, but not perfect. Strangely the upper speaker (which is also a separate speaker) is not as loud as the bottom one. I don't know why. I found iPhones speakers (especially the Pro/Pro Max models) better and with more bass.
All in all, I recommend the phone. But only if you find it in some discounts. I got mine in open box device with 450EUR. For 600EUR (the initial price of this phone), I don't think is worth it.
I am curious to see if Xiaomi will be true to their words and give timely and long software updates for this model. But, I will probably not keep this phone for 3-4 years. So, I will never know. At least, I hope they will give timely security updates, not just 3 per year like in other Xiaomi mid-range phones.
