Apart from the one comment on here I can't see any other mention of it on other sites or for the 12 for that matter.
Maybe it's a case of the majority of people are just not bothered, or like you say it may not effect all versions.
Either way, for me the phone is not fit for purpose if you can't have a private conversation on it.!

It's a lovely phone, but if there isn't a fix for everyone being able to hear your calls, then it's bye bye Xiaomi from me 🙁

This phone is like being on speaker when on calls. Extremely annoying.
At first I thought it was sound coming from the top speaker, but its not that, so I'm not sure what is causing the issue.

Im seriously considering the 12x, but im worried about battery drainage and charging times, i dont much games, but i do watch tiktok, fb, ig and spend at least 3 wholes hours talkinng daily. coming from a oneplus 3 and its still up to this day the best phone i ever had, besides from the camera. Any recommendations, PS im in Portugal

Just noticed security patch is nearly 5 months old already 😂
There is a newer one, so hopefully that will come through on OTA soon.

I've been playing around with my 12x now for a couple of days, and it's a nice handset, though with my struggling eyesight I'm now not so sure that going smaller was a good move.!
