How does this thing have a weaker endurance score than the poco f3 despite the smaller and dimmer screen and identical battery capacity? Is miui 13 based on Android 12 a huge battery hog?

In Indian market if it's price above 40k nobody going to buy. There are more alternative available. Samsung FE, IQOO 9, VIVO X70. All these phones are more powerful and great Cameras too with good display. Xiaomi should keep price competative and aggressive.

Unless you want a compact phone buy the mi 11. It can be found cheap and it has better Sox, display, main camera and wireless charging (in case you want it)

5x opti... moreYou can't get all of that for 600 dollars. I really like this phone, as it's using the best of Xiaomi's budget component arsenal. The chip is good, the display is good, the battery is maybe okay-ish, but it's supplanted by the 67W charging.
I suppose I'm sorry that Sony is too expensive for you?

Samsung S22 or Iphone 13 any day. This Xiaomi should have been given a headphone jack to even begin to be competetive in Europe that is.
The curved glass and 20:9 inducate the populist, but weak chinese design mind behind it.
