This phone have 3 x 50MP camera's and you probably get a better quality pictures then 1 x 108MP camera does. MP just mean how many pixels is there in an inch, that is when you zoom in.

If I remember iphones have this king of speculative specs 1 or even 2 years before they release them.
Xiaomi 12 Pro launched in December 2021 in China so... T versions are cheaper entry level highend models it's not the same product target.
In the West we forget Xiaomi most important markets are in Asia and competitors are in Asia as well launching models during the entire year.
