All of that emphasis on cameras and it gives a 1080p selfie camera?! Why does a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone have 1080p?! Ridiculous.

Never had any issues on curved displays but my hand is bigger than most lol. Flat displays however have sharper edges and using it with one hand hurts time to time and a little bit of curve helps with it.

well, curved display = (equals) = accidental touches occur.. Thus, uncomfortable feeling of use.. : (

why would i pay so much for a camera which wont be able to be updated after a few years... you will be carrying it around like a brick outdated phone? whats the point to all that.

Just bought one + the photography kit. Tons of companies are already making snap-on lenses, attachments, all sorts of stuff for the 13 Ultra Photography Kit. Already dozens of templates for 3D printing online too if you just want to print your own adapters. This is going to be a huge game-changer for photography. The kit might seem gimmicky, and the price is pretty high but I've seen enough professional photography to know that the kit is going to extend the time I use this phone by at least 1 year. Remember that this phone isn't just coming out in China. There is a global market for this. The kit might only be sold in China, Taiwan etc. but you can be sure copies/similar will show up everywhere. People with the phone are already 3D printing adapters for it and I will 3D print some of my own too and put the templates online.

There's a few places still selling the kit for 999¥ so you aren't getting scalped. The Chinese version of the phone is literally already €550 cheaper than it's global release price. If you bought both of these items for their Euro/Global prices, that's €1700... just under the price of the Xperia Pro-i when it launched in EU. I picked the phone and camera kit up for under €1200. It still comes with a 2 year warranty. The 13 Pro is still €1299 here in stores and it's been out for almost 6 months...

I think for this phone it's a good price. It's not the best for gaming or for battery life. It does have the best and most versatile camera though. It's an amazing camera, with a good phone attached that still has 5G, snap gen 2, 90W charging etc. and I think most people would be happy with it. I use my phone 80% for taking photos because I travel for work. Coming from the Vivo X90 Pro+ I had to return because I couldn't update the firmware. I think this is as good as it's going to get this year for smartphone photography, with the Vivo in #2 place.

That said, I'm also going to debloat the phone when I get it. The only thing I think I might miss is no 700 or 800Mhz band. But I am not paying 500-€700 more just for that...

It's all digitally upscaled anyway (and badly). I think only one phone can do 8K 30fps. 8K 60fps is still probably at least 1 year away or more. You should be more interested in 4K 120fps, which some Xperia phones can do.
