7em7ar, 05 Feb 2024I don't play games ! Just simple use and gets hot.then you have some bad stuff installed that uses CPU or GPU a lot. how can you not notice unusual battery drain? you only complain about "gets hot" yet not about battery drain? comments like these are just totally suspicious.

rici, 09 Jan 2024Hi I have a question. 13 ultra has great zoom cameras durin... morenope. its glass characteristic and limitation. with bigger opening, the light focus will be more wider hence the sharpness will be less.
Same goes to DSLR lens, let say 50 mm F1.2, it still have opening that are sharpest (F5.6) and also have opening that are less sharp (below F3 and higher than F8). The more expensive lens DSLR will try to minimize this limitation by using lots of lens group, so you may still get sharper images from F1.6 to F10.

rici, 09 Jan 2024Hi I have a question. 13 ultra has great zoom cameras durin... moreIt's not possible to have a very sharp across the entire frame because the Xiaomi 13 Ultra's main, wide lens has a LOT of astigmatism which results in blurring at the edges of the frame. About 50 or 60 percent of the image is quite sharp, but the edges are significantly less sharp. That's just how it is with the vast majority of wide lenses. The Xiaomi 14 Pro's lens has much less astigmatism than 13 Ultra's so the edges are sharper, BUT since the sensor is much smaller, the end result is similar or worse than 13 Ultra's in sharpness, except in certain cases of high contrast with black or mostly black objects and white or mostly white background, in which case the 14 Pro may give a somewhat sharper image. But do note that with colors instead of black and white, the result of the 14 Pro's will most likely be worse than 13 Ultra's. In order to capture very sharp images with a 23 or 24mm equivalent lens, you need a truly high-end and usually very large and heavy lens, like some prime lenses available for full-frame and APS-C interchangeable lens cameras. An example is Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art. You can compare it to other lenses in the website "The Digital Picture" dot com. Compare it for example to the 24mm setting of the Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR. That's kind of like the blurring you get with the 13 Ultra's lens. In order for Leica or Zeiss or Schneider etc. to create a very high end lens for the 1 inch sensor format which can fit well in a smartphone, a lot of resources (many millions of dollars) would be required in order to come up with an ingenious new lens design. What they currently have is very nice, but quite full of compromises.

Hi I have a question. 13 ultra has great zoom cameras during the day, but there is one bad thing about the main sensor. Picture is blurred at F1.9 when you are not doing close up photo but for example when you are making distant photo of countryside outside. I don't know if it is a problem that only my phone have or this is a problem of all 13 Ultra smartphones. So I am using F4.0 outside, but it is not good for example astrophotography. Does anybody find some hack? Is it possible to have razor sharp image at F1.9 when making distant photos?

between the Xiaomi 13 ultra and ZTE Nubia Z50S Pro which one is better overall?

vivek, 19 Dec 2023why flagship phones are all so heavy.. Cause they pack better/more hardware and are made of higher quality materials, duh

I would so totally love one, BUT personally it is the lack of panorama mode on Xiaomi ultrawide lenses that puts me right off! I own and regularly use the cameras on a Mi Note 10 Pro, but that too will not do panoramas with its Ultrawide. Granted at 12-13mm software-wise it is difficult, but it would surely be to everyone's advantage to go back to 15-16 mm as then panoramas become possible, and of course you have the advantage of far less distortion (which plagues the miNotes 13mm. GSMArena should begin again testing panoramas on these new phones, IMHO, as its the most creative of all options available, and film is practically dead now and far too dodgy even with an Xpan Hasselblad, as metering really is a problem there, along with vignetting. Also, Sweep Pans have a quality I prefer to the rigid, static one-click with an ultrawide lens solution film offers
