nzd, 22 Oct 2023I've been researching to buy a new phone for a while. ... moreFirst of all, in my experience with tons of phones both Android and iOS and my S23 Ultra is the most versatile and captures close to true-to-life images. I have the 13T as well as my backup phone and while it is also good in terms of photography it needs further optimizations to improve the cam's output. Colors are off and details needs improvement as well it looks like the image processing is not really optimized. The 13T Pro is not to far off the 13T regardless of what dx0mark says and it is very obvious with the sample of photos of users in an FB group.

Apps and games are more optimized for Snapdragon based processor and GPU just because more smartphone adopt Snapdragon processor.
Regarding those saying frame rate, it is only popular games that get optimized to run on both platform, so those popular games would have no issue, but there are so many Android games out there, no guarantee which games is more optimized on which platform, but clearly MTK platform is the one less optimized, I bet the Youtuber/Tester won't even test 100 games, maybe just 5 popular games.

I bought the device very good hardware but the software that the thing I don't like honor software magicOS way better then mi 14 and I had another issue as well when I'm waiting for sms for example such as bank or anything message getting delay I thought the problem from the provider I take the sim off then out it in another device I get the sms in time without any problem .this problem with all messages not just the bank sms

Mostly Vulkan, OpenGLES in games
When 8 Gen 2 was released, Vulkan drivers weren't ready...
On Basemark In Vitro test, 9200 had 75% better framerate...
Today, Qualcomm has optimised drivers (9200 stays 30% better in ray-tracing but no longer 75%).
Problems can come on apps that are related on non standard proprietary drivers and hardware...mostly emulators.
Outside emulators, you won't have any problem.
You can compare with PC, games work on both NVIDIA and AMD GPU... That's the same on Android.

I've been researching to buy a new phone for a while. I've done camera tests on Samsung's S22 and S23 series (even though I don't like this brand at all) but they're not even better than the Mi 9T I have now. It is obvious that the photos taken were made with a lot of software improvements and that they were unsuccessful. In fact, I am sure that I will get the most efficient results from Sony, but it is not sold in our country either.
I did not have the opportunity to test the 13T series. It looks good on forms or videos but I have to test it physically. I would be very grateful if any of you 13T and 13T Pro phone users who are interested in photography could help me make a choice. Thank you everyone in advance.

Sheesh all the talk about X-axis vibration motors in recent years, and the haptic strength of this 13T Pro is weaker than my 4 year old Mi 9....

Can't wait to buy this, it has ufs 4, 120w charging, 144hz and wifi 7 for an okay price, the only things i hate about xiaomi is the bootloader unlocking procedure which is a nightmare and their MIUI rom. Also, the authorized Xiaomi account bs needs to stop, it really ruins everything about this brand. If your xiaomi becomes hard bricked you won't be able to flash anything through edl to save your phone, in such case you'll need to take it to a Xiaomi store and pay to get it fixed since edl flash is intentionally restricted and monopolized to xiaomi authorized personnel and only they are capable of accessing that flashing procedure, which is complete bs. It's apple like tactics, a device that i paid for should not restrict itself to be fixed. Xiaomi is worse than apple if you want to fix your hard bricked device by yourself, which is weird and sad.

Been using this phone for a week without reboot, the camera app starts visibly lagging.... I thought 12gb ram and flagship processors would eliminate such things... Or is it a miui thing?

Is it true that some apps will run into compatibility issues with dimensity 9200+? I read app developers favour snapdragon more than mediatek. I'm getting 13t pro for nearly £200 less than 13 pro but sceptical of compatibility issues down the line. Any thoughts?
