sixth, 06 Oct 2023Boys and gals, let's be real here, if this phone is no... moreSadly, my area don't have the so called black friday, and the 13 Pro is almost obsolete at my area, and the price is almost double compared to 13T Pro, the pricing won't come down at the moment. If I really want some more affordable 8 Gen 2 smartphone, my only choice would be Oneplus 11, Honor Magic 5/Pro, iQoo 11, or Samsung S23+, of course, there is the smaller size Xiaomi 13 with only 256GB of storage option.

So, if 256GB is enough, might consider 13T as well, the price could be cheaper. But for those considering to have 512GB, just go with the Pro. Ok, the rest is only for Xiaomi's issue, where many complain about the build quality and MIUI optimization.

I do observe while many games do playable on Dimensity chip, there are tons of games that not well optimized to run on high quality graphic and also not optimized to run for high FPS despite the Dimensity hardware support it.
I do observed game run more smooth on Snapdragon platform.
Again, my point, not until unplayable, but lack optimization from developer.
In term of day to day normal performance, of course no issue, but need to wait for optimization from developer for some gaming.

When you have to start plugging and unplugging cables and wrapping your phone around with pads, you've lost a lot of that. I wouldn't even be able to use my charging dock when something is plugged into it and when I do want to plug it in, I'd have to unplug the pad.

Trying to decide between 13T and 13T Pro.
With the Pro you get:
- WiFi 7
- UFS 4.0
- Video with 4K@60fps
- Charging 120W
Very tempting when I can have it for 690 Euro at the moment.
But the 13T is only 560 Euro and will probably have much better battery life (where is the review?)
I need to decide before 15 Oct when the introduction prices end.

Boys and gals, let's be real here, if this phone is not $599 in your area, it's not worth it, get a Xiaomi 13/13 Pro this Black friday for even cheaper (you can also get a Samsung s23+ this november).
Mediatek is not the problem, xiaomi is for not caring about optimizing the phone, it still has the same bug the K60 Ultra had, think about that, lack of support in apps and games, emulation and unlocked roms, in terms of software support from others, it's a dud.
Only positive is xiaomi's support for 4 years, the security patches in the last year will probably introduce more issues and slow down your phone.

9200 is very close to 8 Gen 2...and even better for ray-tracing.
Lpddr5x is a 30% bandwidth improvements
UFS4.0 is twice faster than UFS3.1 on 12T Pro
And it supports AV1, 8 Gen 1 doesn't!

I have both Snapdragon and Dimensity, it is about optimization, only affect some games, most game just run very good on Snapdragon flagship processor even if the processor is a few generation behind, but for Dimensity, it really depend, not until not unplayable, but you can notice the performance and optimization difference. I'm not talking about the 60hz and 120hz, I'm talking about general game's fps. Yes, UI wise, no performance different, Dimensity even support all the fast charging standard and support all the lossless Bluetooth audio codec, including Qualcomm AptX, just same as Snapdragon.
