I moved from an iphone 14 to this device. Got it at 43k INR. Camera is simply amazing. It is as good as samsung or apple flagships. Did not find any issues with software. Had a smooth transition from ios . No heating issue and decent battery. Get around 6-7 hrs SOT and still 30% left in a day. Rare main camera fogging under special circumstances like 8k recording. Fog resolves in 5 seconds. june 2024 manufactured unit. Overall very happy with this phone. Only issue is security patches are not monthly. Jumped from July to October patch. Xiaomi should prioritize timely updates

This issue is very rare for me. only happened once when recording 8k video but fog disappeared in 5 secs. It is made out to be a bigger issue. Really superb camera and specs

Ive had this phone for 4 months and it completely blew me away. The cameras are absolutely crazy, in most cases better than the s24 ultra (in my opinion). Battery easily lasts 2 days and charges unbelievably fast. The performance is just on another level. Many people complain about this phone overheating, but mine only overheated the first 2 days after I bought it, and never overheated again. The size of the screen is just perfect, and the quality is crystal clear. Now this is engineering perfection. Would definitely recommend this phone for this price. Completely blows all of the competitors out of the water (except maybe oneplus 12 but I dont really like the Zeiss camera system)

How to keep the battery charging animation on all the time while charging? It would be helpful when we accidentally moved the charging line and can tell if the phone is charging.

Here is what you can expect from the phone after 4Mo. I am not a shill, but I do own 2 Xiaomi products and have a favorable opinion in general.
Slippery side rails because of the glassy finish, use a case with this one.
Big camera lens that you will get used to, very good support I might add.
Flagship OLED display with great colors. More reflective than something like Samsung.
Flagship chip that handles everything you throw at it like a champ. Get warm easily.
550GB storage is enough for all the latest and greatest games + 4600 songs in original FLAC quality. (10-150Mb in size/File)
Flagship cameras that absolutely shine in nighttime performance with great tuning from Leica. Fog issues on the early production models. (mine included, you should be able to apply for a replacement.)
Ultra-fast 90W charging (charger included in box), Easy battery drain with a lot of apps installed. (you have to manually adjust the settings for them)
3 Years of Software updates (Android 17) and 4 years of security (2028). You can install custom ROMs extending updates by a crazy amount.
HyperOS is fine, MIUI used to be bleeding edge, but now it's firmly mid. If you had a Huawei/Honor phone, you will have an easy time adjusting.
The EU ROM is bloatware and ad free. Any additional apps added are done by your network operator. (Mainly T-Mobile)

Cake, 21 Oct 2024This or the Galaxy s23S23 is lighter and slightly smaller than this. Also, OneUI is better than HyperCrap OS. Other than that, Xiaomi 14 is far far better than snail speed charging, small battery and mediocre camera that S23 have.
