Can someone please confirm if the visualization in 360 mode in the google photos app works fine (no black squares when looking around)? Please try the following image

I hope someone can help. I ask this because I have the Xiaomi 12 and 360 visualization in google photos does not work fine and I am considering upgrading to the Xiaomi 14. Thank you in advance.

Having another chance to also look at the 3D version of the image of this model, I am now assuming this model is what we can call as spectacular design should be and it floods it with spectacular specs proportionally. There shouldn't be any complaints raised because it has been totally consumed by the low price offered in this class. The flawless size that fit smaller palm ergonomically is also another highlight that forcingly keeps people in to buying this model. Certainly amazing guys! Go order it! Don't wait until tomorrow if you can do it today.... Hmmm... :)

Nick, 18 Dec 2024how is the phone dear , is it good ? pls provide your pros ... moreI'm suspecting I'm not good at assessing phones, because logic implies - there shouldn't be any perfect ones. Must be some corners cut here or there. But somehow can't find any.
Nice performance, perfect fit in my hand, lovely display, more than capable camera, fast charging & no problems with battery endurance, etc. Personally loving the squarish looks. Nothing itchy comes to mind.
For 7 months no any sign of the "fogging" issue - maybe didn't fit the right conditions?!
Now remember - at first was a little disappointed that the green wasn't so cool as it's on the online pics - not so intense & emerald, but pale § diluted. That's the only con for me.

I got the update a week ago, region Germany.
The first two days battery drain was horrible, did a factory reset and it optimized perfectly. All I can say that is much smoother than before and the battery life is excellent
Charged it overnight, and right now I have 4.30 hours. SOT with 50% battery left

Ricky, 16 Dec 2024People talk about fogging issue with lens. Has this is fixe... moreOnly way to fix the fogging issue is by taking off the sim and then record some long footage in 4k or 8k to heat up the camera sensors

Nishant29, 03 Dec 2024I brought my first Xiaomi in Jan 2015, it was a Redmi Note ... moreMust be an apps specific issue. I use teams and it works fine. I can see the caller name etc.
Camera is great and battery life is good. Yes it has depreciated. Infact i bought it at 43k. All phones depreciate. Look at iphones launch at 80 k and in sale it comes down to 50-55k. If you buy any product at launch you will end up with huge depreciation

I brought my first Xiaomi in Jan 2015, it was a Redmi Note 1.
Since then I owned a Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 10, K20 Pro, Mi11T Pro and now a Xiaomi 14 that I brought in April this year on launch. Not just that , even for my parents and in-laws I have brought Redmi phones all these years since.
While the picture/camera quality has progressively improved, in terms of overall experience it peaked with K20Pro. In fact after one was picked from my pocket in a crowded metro, I replaced it with another K20pro only
Xiaomi 14 is a piece of s**t, especially from a software perspective with Teams completely unusable and despite complaints nothing changed. The battery drains to 20% with 7-8 hours of limited use. If it did not have fast charge it would have been unusable with moderate/heavy use unless carrying a powerbank. On top of it the phone brought for 64k has eroded 70% in six months with most online portals not even listing it for exchange.
Earnest advice to all my friends, avoid Mi aka Xiaomi like the plague, especially if you need to use office tools like teams and outlook. The notification sound rings but you have no way of knowing who is calling you on teams as the display shows nothing. And then you frantically try to figure who called.
You may be better placed in investing a 3 generation older iPhone than these turds being sold by Mi as their highest spec phones.

The super fast charger comes handy because a fully charged phone even with minimal usage drifts down to 20% in 7-8 hours.
