Does anyone else have an issue with Camera Video mode always reverting to 1080 / 30 mode after camera app starts? Preserve settings option does not help. I always want to record in 8k mode, but it falls back after a while or if I kill the app process and restart it.

I'm using eSim only ... morei sold 14 ultra because of that too, i had to purchase a cheaper Tcl 50 nxtpaper as i needed both micro sd and esim together, hope Xiaomi provides esim in all versions of 15 ultra or else have to go for Samsung instead

You can buy one of those SIM's with app that you can install eSIMs into it. And you are ready, no problem at all. Some of them cans tore up to 14 eSIM profiles. Google it and you will find it. One-time purchase and it this is it. They have premium options for storing more profiles, for example, but who needs more than one or two eSIMs at the time, at the most?
So, yes, not a huge problem.
I live in EU and use inclusive EU roaming for free with my carrier so no need for other SIMs, i use my main one.

If you haven't heard of this before Google some of them, Saily is the one I use but there's tens of others. Of course Xiaomi will fix this in 2025 models as it's a MUST on flagship

Hope the 15 Ultra improves in this aspect.

HyperOs 2.0... worse than ever... now my phone can consume more than 50%/h battery when using the camera app. But the temperature reached means you can cook an egg on it, smart !

This is the best phone for 2024, until Xiaomi 15 Ultra is released in 2025, hopefully it will have a variable aperture too, cuz this is an overkill for phones, Sadly Xiaomi is not recognized nationwide, and many people choose the S24 Ultra, even tho Samsung sucks nowadays
