    I've been using the Xiaomi 14 ultra since April 2, I got the international variant, and I gotta say this phone is amazing, if you have problema about the camera quality, you probably don't use it's settings good enough

    Usually this phone for me i run at -0.3EV though because this phone tends to like over brightening shots a little for my taste, sometimes it's also excessive and I may even reach levels of -2.0EV, but just with that one setting alone I don't need pro mode as often because of it

    if you know what you're doing, this phone definitely is worth it

    And about that camera bump... It's easy to get used to, but well I use the Leather case so I can't really speak too much of it


    One issue though is camera moist, which is apparently permanently removable but I can't get the time to actually figure that out meaning when it gets cold i can't record stuff without the camera fogging up

          I've had this phone for almost a month now. The photography chops of this thing are seriously impressive for my uses. I really only care about the main sensor and tele sensors. The ultra wide is a little bit of a letdown, but it could've been a 720p web cam from the 90's and I wouldn't care. I also wouldn't care if it didn't have a selfie camera at all as I simply do not use it. I admit that based on the reviews I've seen the selfie camera is not great, however....it doesn't impact me in the slightest.

          I took it out to do some astrophotography photo sessions (tripod mounted) and it is on par with my old Sony RX100 III camera in terms of capturing the Milky Way galaxy. The ability to suck up photons in low light is unbelievable IMO.

          Photos are pin sharp when it comes to moving objects in mid/low light (Screw you Samsung). It uses much higher ISO values but yet still doesn't have any noise to complain of.

          The zoom is better than my S21U by a good margin. The funky AI is hit or miss when it comes to 30x+_shots. I usually leave it off as I prefer real details over generated details.

          The hardware is amazing and I do hope that a few software updates on the camera will solve any small little issues that remain.

          Battery is on par with my S21U (not class leading). DND doesn't work right. That's a real bummer and is something that Xiaomi apparently has no interest in fixing.

          Service is excellent on Mint Mobile, even into the rural areas. (Thanks T-mobile for turning on some additional spectrum recently!)

          A few random bugs are apparent. For example, auto rotate. While it does work, it's sometimes slow to change orientation and not always reliable. That needs some polish.

          Overall you can tell the software as a whole needs some updating/polishing by Xiaomi. However being a photographer, these small bugs are easily livable for me to enjoy the flexibility and power of this camera setup. I have the camera kit and shooting with it is such a joy.

Compare it next to an S24 ULT... moreExactly, i was waiting for this phone to be released, but after the 2nd year of using my old Mi 10 5G they start to push advertisment inside the system, so got the S24 Ultra which seems inferior in camera department on paper, but this phone is like so far ahead from everything else. My wife have the 15 Pro MAX and besides the white back and the exellent speakers it feels like a toy for kids compared to the S24 Ultra.

                            How is possible we customers agreed to buy phones made of GLASS!! Glass breaks, glass is hard to repair!!! It's done on purpose to force you to change phones more frequently!!! I will buy ANY brand flagship if they use PLASTIC

                              A great smartphone with it's price but the downside of any xiaomi phones using MIUI and HyperOS operating system is it's bloatwares and advertisements that is very annoying even in the flagship level. I hope they can fix this.

                                    I bought this phone (Xiaomi 14 Ultra 16RAM 512GB Global version) just for the photography capabilities. Yes, he takes great pictures. But in my case, the camera fogs up within 1 minute after going outside. Cameras with other focal lengths fog up after longer use. I have all 4 cameras fogged up. Very disappointing experience. I had to return the phone, I am waiting for a replacement and hope that the next one will not have this problem. What else I noticed is that the phone heats up excessively when using the camera. Most likely, due to excessive heat inside and contact with colder air (for example, outside), the conditions for moisture condensation are created. For example, when playing games, the phone does not heat up at all. So I assume that the whole problem is in the camera module or their control, hopefully it is fixed by software updates. I don't know if it's the same reason (it gets hot when using the camera) but the battery life is really short.

                                    P.S. I tried the methods shown on the internet to remove moisture from the camera (keeping it in rice or silica gel packets, or taking a long video in 8k format) but none of them helped.

                                    P.P.S. For those who do not believe in this problem, I have a full gallery of footage and photographs.

                                    P.P.P.S. For those who have not encountered this problem, congratulations on purchasing a good camera phone.
